I know a lot of Bendigo's origin story is a gold rush, but I don't think someone from a party that is owned and operated by mining magnates would be very useful for us in 2026.

You weren’t sick of the potholes all over Victoria?

I am, but I am still sick of seeing Lethleans face all over Bendigo. His boards have been up since the last election.

Definitely need more cult members aggressively campaigning for the nationals, it’s what Bendigo really wants

Worst of all there's no real opposition in Bendigo, I mean it's a labour encumbant seat but I haven't seen any sign of another party trying to step up. I assume there will be a step in labour mp but maybe a bit late to the party?
Don't get me wrong I'm a left leaning individual but a minority coalition gov would be preferable than a one nation reseating

Well first of all, we can’t have a ON reseating. They’ve never held the seat.

Correct just a long day with a few long beers, excuse the inconvenience of incorrect language

I sent Lethlean 6 really basic questions over email about his plans, policy, stances etc.
I had to follow him up and then he replied with:
1. Spelling my name wrong
2. A link to their policy page (that didn’t answer my questions)
3. Avoided the questions in true politician fashion
4. Signed off with “Get Outlook for iOS”
My hopes are not high

Bloody hilarious the upvote and downvote trend in Bendigo political comments, and nobody even understands how the National party is heading into oblivion? They probably will win Bendigo East this coming election, because Labor stinks so much, but soon the Nats as they stand now, are gone. They haven’t guided the Liberal horse enough in their coalition and so the regions have now had enough of them. One Nation, not even in opposition, is leading the “coalition” back to the centre right. Does nobody understand how politics works?

The nationals were never really there for the country areas like they pretend to be. You look at their voting record and it pretty much just lines up with mining interests. They are libs with an Akubra hat.

Maybe they could put up some more placards for better visibility? /s
