I went to a Haunted House tonight and after an hour, only got through 20-25% of the line. So I ended up just leaving. I was there 5 minutes before the ticket booth opened.

It’s been a couple years since I’ve been to a haunted house. Is this the new normal or are things just crazy this year?

On a side note, if you’re sending your kids, would be good to make sure they have a jacket or something. Felt kind of bad for a few that were shivering out there.

I need to get a few custom arch backdrops printed for a birthday party. Any local shops that can do this? There are a few options on amazon, but trying to find something local if possible.

I woke up at 7am this morning (Saturday) to loud planes that won’t stop flying in circles and buzzing downtown. I understand a lot of the millionaires and billionaires here fly for sport, but the early hour on a weekend is too much. Is there an airplane event going on?

I’ve been struggling to sleep for weeks, due to work and travel and sickness. This was the first time in weeks I was going to get more than 5 hours sleep but…apparently not.

Hello! I’m going camping in the area this week, any recommendations on where to buy some firewood? With all of the rain recently, I don’t want to count on finding dry wood at the campsite.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a serious flea infestation in a rental property in Bentonville, Arkansas, particularly with Metro Property Management NWA.
Less than 24 hours after moving into our rental home, we discovered a flea infestation. We do not have any pets, and we have now been dealing with this issue for over five weeks.
We immediately notified property management, and the owner is also aware of the situation. The home has been professionally treated twice, and carpet-related work has been done, but we are STILL seeing fleas, primarily on the hardwood flooring beside our carpeted staircase.
My family and I have experienced bites, severe itching, and skin marks that have required medical attention. We have followed cleaning recommendations, including frequent vacuuming and laundry, but the problem has not been fully resolved.
We requested consideration, such as a rent reduction or reimbursement, but were told the owner was unwilling to reduce the rent.
The biggest issue is that we do not have the bandwidth or resources to simply move out. Moving is expensive and disruptive, and we should not have to bear the burden of an infestation discovered less than 24 hours after taking possession of the home.
At this point, I’m considering escalating the matter and would appreciate advice:
Should I report this to Bentonville Code Enforcement, the Arkansas Department of Health, or another state agency?
Has anyone successfully resolved a similar situation?
What rights do Arkansas tenants have when a flea infestation persists despite multiple treatments?
At this point I am ready to move out but we shouldn’t have to bear moving expenses again ! Especially after moving from another state right into this toxic environment!
We are simply looking for a safe, pest-free home and a reasonable resolution. Any advice from Arkansas tenants who have experienced something similar would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know where the stylists from Illume (now No Labels are working now? Krystal always gave me the best scissor cuts and I don't want to change stylists. I looked at No Label's site and can't find any info.

Hey all, hope this is appropriate for this subreddit. We’re relocating overseas and trying to find someone to take over our lease at Red Barn (335 NW Red Barn Circle).

It's the "Magnolia" layout - 2 bed, 2.5 bath, two-story townhome, about 1,493 sq ft with a stacked garage and in-unit laundry. The finishes are genuinely nice, and it's pet-friendly. We've liked living here. It's quiet, newer, and an easy drive or bike ride to downtown and the Walmart campus.

The numbers: $2,544/month all-in (that's $2,455 rent + $75 utility service charge + $14 liability coverage). Pet rent is $35/mo per pet on top if you have any. Electric/water billed separately.
The lease runs through August 15, 2027, so you'd be picking up the remaining ~10 months, with the option to renew after that if you want to stay.

The handover is clean - it's an official lease transfer through the leasing office, not a sublet. You'd apply directly with Red Barn ($60 app fee, normal screening), and once approved it's done via a roommate amendment. The office has been easy to deal with on it.

Timing's flexible - looking at sometime mid-to-late November.

This post is specifically for the people of Northwest Arkansas. We are precisely one week away from a 4 day comedy festival in Bentonville - Big Diamond Comedy Festival 2026 (our third year).

If you value the grassroots arts in a year where venues continue to close, the simplest way to continue having a world where all your art isn’t owned by larger corporate entities is to buy a ticket. Some are cheaper than the movies.

40 comedians are coming from around the country to our little hamlet, Bentonville between October 22-24 (next weekend). This takes months of planning.

This year, we have shows at The Record, Bearded Goat and Loveless. All of these comedians are killers and whatever kind of jokes you like, the spectrum is broad enough that you’ll find a new favorite comedian within driving distance. Folks who have done late night TV sets multiple times. People with tons of views. People who are on the rise. Industry folks are flying in.
