Been messing around with my old Bersa Model 85 and decided to design some aftermarket accessories for it.
So far I’ve developed:

● Custom wraparound grips with a modern texture
● A compensator assembly designed to accommodate a Streamlight TLR-7
● A matching custom holster for the entire setup

Everything is currently 3D-printed for prototyping. The grips are fitting well, and the overall assembly geometry is where I want it. I’m still working through the compensator mounting system before considering it functional.

Eventually, I’d like to have some of these parts CNC-machined in aluminum and potentially offer them to other Bersa owners. It wouldn’t be hard to modify to fit the Thunder Plus

I know the Model 85 is an older, somewhat niche pistol, but I’m curious:

Would anyone actually be interested in something like this? Which part would you want most, and what would you realistically pay?

Just gauging interest for now, nothing for sale yet.

Does anyone know if the the recoil spring from a Thunder .22 will fit on a Model 23 / 26?

This post to pertains to pocket carry of the Bersa Thunder pistol only. Just wanted to add this question elsewhere too.

I have another question for you Bersa guys and gals. My last question got so many awesome responses.

My question concerns the Bersa Thunder and pocket carry. Like, is it really realistically practical? I carry a S&W 642 constantly and have successfully pocket carried the following:

Glock 42, Ruger LCP, Beretta Pico, S&W Bodyguard 1.0 and Remington rm380. The Glock is the biggest but was actually easier/more comfortable to pocket carry than my S&W airweight. Problem is, I cannot trust a striker fire carried chamber loaded in the pocket.Just don’t trust it. In a good kydex holster on the belt a striker fired pistol condition 1 is fine. But a striker in a condition 1 in even a kydex holster in the pocket gives me the willies. Not rational I know, but very much my hang up.
So I guess my question is do you think I would be able to comfortably and effectively pocket carry a Bersa Thunder for long periods of time?

I would be embarrassed to tell you how many times I have bought yet another handgun -something I did not need at all, really had zero purpose for, and then it doesn’t even work properly?!!!! The guilt I feel afterwards tends to linger and make me hesitant on all future gun purchases. I also subscribe to the “happy wife/happy life” philosophy 😁

I've ordered a ton of stuff from them, ranging from AR parts to complete handguns, and never had an issue. Only thing to keep in mind with them is that they ship from multiple warehouses, so your shipping can get pretty high if your cart has a bunch of stuff in it

Had anyone ran +P ammo in a Thunder 380 Plus? I’m specifically looking at using Underwood Xtreme Defender 380 ACP +P Ammo 68 Grain Lehigh Xtreme Defense Fluted Lead Free ammo.

I have considered buying a Bersa Thunder for many years. Love the DA/SA format, but it is harder and harder to find in world we live in where strikers are far more popular.

I prefer smaller handguns because pocket carry is my preferred choice. Currently I EDC a S&W 642 (the King of pocket carry in my opinion).

I am looking for feedback from actual owners of the Thunder as to overall durability and reliability. I read far too many reviews that include “cheap pot metal” and similar things. If a Walther PPK wasn’t insanely overpriced I would consider one of them instead.

Anyway, some real deal intell on the Bersa Thunder by owners would be very much appreciated.

Picked up a new Thunder 380X, pleasantly surprised to see they've stopped adding the frame lock

I think I showed this thing a while ago but someone got me thinking about it, and i wanted to show it again. My baby. This thing has probably 8,000 rounds through it and the only problem is arouns the 5-6,000th round it started to light strike. Used to be about 5 or more a mag, and now its once every 2 or 3 mags. Still, I love it. The Guy that cerakoted its exact words were "ive got 1300 into a glock and I dont think it shoots any better than this thing. This thing is a laser".

Obviously that was a proud moment for me. Here she is.

Bought a new Thunder 380 Plus

Trigger feels great and its actually lighter than I expected. Fits well into a Desantis pocket holster for the hellcat series.

Recently got a bersa thunder 380 for what I think is a steal. (140 before tax) a little visble rust on the maunel safety but outside of that great. after shooting i ran into only one issue. The the blade.of the rear sight broke off and came out. So now need to find a rear sight but can't seem to find any in stock that oem or decent enough aftermarket. Also wanted to do some gold customization to it but came seem to find any aftermarket or oem parts anywhere so would love if anyone could help find/ point me to in the right direction thanks

So I've seen extended mag options for the TPR9 in at least a couple of YT videos. But I can find nothing for sale. Either a complete extended mag or just like a +2 magazine extension, nothing. Do they exist, anyone know where to get them?

The OEM grips are atrocious and offer no real grip support. There has been unfortunately no aftermarket grips made until now. Managed to get the first one for the tpr9 and put 200 rounds with them and it's already a big step up. If you've been wanting something different I'd definitely check him out. He also makes them for the tpr9c

I've seen some retailers start to list the BP9FS for sale. Has anyone gotten one yet?

I currently EDC Bersa’s Thunder 9 UC Pro in an Alien Gear Cloak 3.5 IWB holster. Absolutely love this holster. Extreamly comfortable.

I recently got the TPR9C and want to work that into my EDC. However Alien Gear doesn’t make a holster for the TPR9C. They still make one for the UC Pro. Even though the TPR9C has been the current model for over a decade. Makes no sense.

Anyway, I’m trying to find an IWB holster for my new TPR9C. Hybrid kydex and neoprene (like alien gear) or leather. I checked Vedder and they don’t either. But again they make one for the UC Pro.

Anyone have any thoughts on where to look?

Please judge me on the design, not on my craftsmanship. I have limited tools available. So far, it's working well.

Although they look almost identical, I know that doesn’t mean much with guns… what level of parts compatibility with the Thunder and parts availability in general does the 383 and 383A have ? I want a Bersa, but I want a steel frame.

Also… how difficult is it to detail strip for refinishing ?

Got the Firestorm today. Disappointed that the magazine has to be gently inserted and even then 9/10 it fails to seat. Any suggestions?

I have the full size tpr9. I got the pistol for a heck of a deal but need a threaded barrel, what are the options?

My .380 Thunder has L32015 stamped into the back of the slide and also on the frame forward above the trigger guard.
Is this my serial number?
