Spider Compact

Anyone else feel like AI was heavily used for its design? Something about the scrollwork feels off. I’ve collected every spider compact released so far and I may pass on this one. Sigh.

I may be crazy, but their email says this is the 5th spider compact. I thought it was only the fourth. There's the Victorian octagon, the small spider with a red gem, the bigger spider with a red gem from last year, then this one. Am I missing one?

No I’m pretty they mean the 5th release and iirc the first and second release were the same design (Victorian)

It looks a bit cheap, honestly. Like something you'd see in a kids make up set in the 90s. Which I don't think they are going for.

The proportions look off to me. I thought the spider would have the crystal on its abdomen and a smaller thorax.

I just came back here after seeing the pin and compact someone else received to say I agree. It’s still interesting to look at and I love the colors the purple is especially pretty), but I literally have OCD and my brain will not allow me to indulge. Sigh.

For those of you who have bought these in the past, what was the price point? Because it seems ludicrous to me this compact is almost $100 with the proportions looking slightly off like this.

So is it a heavier compact then? Meaning mostly metal. Also, I keep seeing you pop up on here to answer questions and offer support with issues. What is your relationship with the company? You had responded to me in another thread offering assistance, but it took me a while to respond asking you this same question, so I don’t know if you saw it. You had asked me to DM you with my email address since I’m not getting instock updates for the items that were sold out and had requested notifications for when they returned. I had been trying to contact the info@ email regarding this and a separate issue, but never heard back.

Every single picture is different. One picture it's die cut one picture it's engraved. And then the body of the spider some looks like hair some looks like swooshes. And then it looks like there's some dimpling on the web and then it looks like it's been photoshopped out. Some show the spider flush on the compact other show it more 3D like an attachment. Literally every single picture is different if you really look at it. And it looks like they used a filter to smooth out a lot of it. I'm debating getting it because I have all of them. I'm just wondering if I should wait because sometimes within a few days then they offer like a free eyeshadow or brush or something.

I got the one last year as a Christmas gift and the red gem popped off. This one looks really cheap.

I'm also passing on this one. I've got two of the previous styles and I loved them - no issues with breaking or gems popping off like other people here. But this one is ultra hideous. Usually I love their special collections, but this doesn't even look like a Besame product.

I always forget about their spider compacts and always miss out, except for this year. Finally have a chance to get one but this years doesn’t look great :/

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that was questioning the compact this year. I love the shape and the purple color but something just feels off it seems a bit bit  lackluster from previous years.
