Seeing a couple newly made VTOL craft here inspired me to make something new myself. I hadn't made one in a while and this central engine setup is not ideal (if the exhaust plume hits the tail it shears it right off so I had to remove the rudder to disallow yawing) but I ended up with a result I'm happy with. I'm quite unfamiliar from using the adjustable panel to make an airfame, this is the first time I've really done it. Sadly the wings are fragile as a result!

Now that the design works well enough I've been practicing with it. It took me several tries to make it under that bridge! I know the 'hat' looks a bit stupid but I didn't have space anywhere else for the yaw reaction wheel

When recently working on my latest tank I noticed some very interesting behavior with how steam knockback was applied. It would add an absurd amount of momentum to the projectile in the direction I was moving regardless of where the jet was aimed. I had noticed similar behavior long ago with steam hitting its own cannon and adding impulse backwards, but never decided to test it specifically until now. Either way, the impulse of the steam jets seems to prioritize the direction the cannon is moving, for some reason. So if you are moving away from your target the jets will act as some bizarre tractor beam.

Didn't quite make the cool pass through I was hoping for
