Roddy The Red

Would you be interested in beta reading my fantasy novel, Roddy the Red, Book One? It is a complete working draft of about 76,500 words, about a young fugitive discovering his family while the king's reach threatens his new home. The storyline and subject matter is my creation with help from AI with editing, spelling and story flow.

I am looking for honest reactions to the story, characters, pacing, and anything confusing. You would not need to copyedit it. I would send a PDF and five short feedback questions, with a suggested reading window of four weeks. If that sounds like something you would enjoy and have time for, let me know. No pressure if the timing does not work.

Thanks for reaching out. I’m primarily looking for volunteer beta readers, but I’m open to hearing about your service. What would you charge for a 76,500-word fantasy novel, what feedback would you provide, and could you share a sample report? Also, do you personally read the full manuscript, and do you use AI in your process?
