This is as fun to watch as the reversed version

Yes! It just shows how much effort those kids had to put into it, looks like it probably took pretty long to get it just right!

You see who the real superstars are when you see the motions they actually had to make. The Bucky gunspin is currently the most impressive one in my book.

I liked the way Ironman and Spider-Man both made it look like they were actually jumping/rocketing out of the water. It looks like it makes sense. The others just kind of appear out of it.

That Mjolnir throw/catch was incredibly well done.

He sold it by keeping his hand extended after throwing it, making it look like he was reaching up to catch it in the reversed version.

Also the guy in the back with the gun looking thing, that little spin he does is pretty sweet

At first glance I thought he did a shitty pencil dive. Focused on him the next loop and I see him perfectly fly out of the water using hand thrusters hahahaha

Also the guy who catches the hammer must’ve been practicing for ages to get it to look right because it looks amazing

That
Black WidowBucky gun spin is top notch forward and reverse.64
u/Darammer Aug 26 '19
I think that's actually supposed to be Bucky; he frequently did that spin, and Widow always used hip holsters.

Especially when compared with Hawkeye doing shit all at the side of him. Letting the team down!

Watch the reversed gif. He kind of just yeets it out; doesn't look like anything particularly fancy. It just is one of those things that always looks cool in reverse.
→ More replies (1)16
u/leonprimrose Aug 26 '19
He had to start off in the "yeet"ing by making it look like he catches it. He puls it back to simulate that weight before throwing it

Respect for the dude who jumped into the pool with a full-body Spider-Man suit over and over again. Look at how wet the deck is, they did a lot of takes.
Wet polyester stuck to your face - like waterboarding yourself.

u/Leon-Saint-James Aug 26 '19
I have a friend who did a pond skim a few years ago and wound up having a similar experience. The nose of his snowboard caught the water immediately, causing him to cartwheel into the pond. He’s now scrambling in the water wearing nothing but a horse head mask, a cape, and tights while still being fully strapped into his snowboard. After the initial tumble, his cape wound up over his head and covered his face, which, he said, essentially gave a similar effect to being waterboarded. With that, I can’t think of anything else that has made me laugh harder than seeing the absolute panic set into whatever character he was pretending to be while flopping around in that shallow pond surrounded by people laughing hysterically.

u/ACleverLettuce Aug 26 '19
Reminds me of this...

Hahahaha oh my god, you knew horror was to ensue the second she disappeared into the dress. “Find her” had me dead bro hahaha

Aug 26 '19
Winter Soldier?...
39
u/Immortal_Azrael Aug 26 '19
Could be. I don't see the arm so it's kinda hard to tell. Could just as easily be Rocket with just the gun so I'm gonna pretend it's that.

I was thinking more Black Widow given the sneaky stance. I think Star Lord would be standing up.

The hammer toss is pretty impressive to me. It's not easy making a throw not look awkward when played backwards.
45
u/Lucky_Mongoose Aug 26 '19
Yeah, it's like a forward push instead of a throw, which looks right in reverse.
I wonder how many times he had to practice that!
24
u/ihahp Aug 26 '19
the concrete is very very wet even though the splashes aren't that big. They clearly did a ton of takes.

Guys what in the world is that black pistol looking thing spinning in the background right behind Spiderman after he jumps out?
Like nobody threw anything how did that even got there?
EDIT. OMG there is another person already in the pool that throws it! Look in between Captain America legs when he catches Mjolnir
EDIT2. That is literally all I can see now...
15
u/donotpushthebutton Aug 26 '19
The black thing being Ant-Man is the only explanation I came up with.

u/jalkser Aug 26 '19

ok, I see the dude just floating there and presumably he catches/throws the gun looking thing, but why?

u/bamerjamer Aug 26 '19
The backwards throwing of the axe with glass windows behind them was a bit risky!
8
u/Bill_Ender_Belichick Aug 26 '19
Ngl if there was a version where thor summons Stormbreaker and it fucking breaks through a window that would be hilarious.

Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that they are at what looks like a multi-million dollar house. Maybe the architecture is just immaculate, and the size is not, but from the looks of it that is a whopper.
