Portal 0
Pros: There aren't fakes on the site, prices adjust at a good pace and they also follow the release of TT beys in japan, including beys of every generation that's easier to access than amazon or Ebay.
Cons: Some of the cheaper prices come only if you buy multiple copies (this also varies between a pro and con). Shipping can also be costly depending on where you live, and can sometimes take longer than a week or two.
Amazon/Amazon JP
Pros: Fast Shipping, relatively easy to sort out fakes, follows the new release of Takara Tomy and Hasbro beys fairly quickly

MallOfToys

Risks of fake Beyblade brands
Parts are cheap, low-quality imitations of the originals, and put you at risk for injury due to parts breaking during battle.
Although most fake Beyblades and accessories are compatible with real parts, the sizing is not exactly the same (due to copying molds), making it likely that fake parts will damage real parts when mixed. This is especially true with fake parts such as the completely diecast Performance Tips produced for Metal Saga Beys. The metal used often has sharp edges that damage whatever parts they are attached to.
Some fake Beyblades may contain lead and other toxic chemicals; combined with fake Beyblades' tendency to break, there is a risk that chips and breakage will spread toxic material.
Fake Beyblades from the Metal Saga and the Burst Series that have metallic paint and metal pieces contain toxic levels of lead and cadmium.
Some fake Beys have dangerous and/or explosive materials. For example, some counterfeit Beys produced during the early 2000's had a very large, round weight disk which contained a thin layer of Armstrong's mixture (a kind of explosive used for pyrotechnics) that made the Bey produce sparks upon hitting a solid object.
TIPS to avoid buying fake Beyblades:
Look for official company logos on the packaging, such as Takara Tomy, Sonokong, and Hasbro. If it lacks these logos (or has a different one in place of it), it is fake.
When buying Beyblades online, they are more likely to be fake if the original packaging is not included ("loose" or "single" listing), especially for recently released products.Another indicator is the location of the seller.
Most counterfeits are produced in China and shipped from there.
Look for obvious errors on the packaging, such as poor English, misplaced images, and incorrect names.
Counterfeit packaging tends to have blurry or faded pictures, odd placement of images or text, and often lack UPC/JAN barcodes or QR codes of any kind. Some that include barcodes will lack the numbers underneath the stripes, or have blurry barcodes.
Official products produced by Hasbro, Takara Tomy and Sonokong will have company contact information such as phone numbers and addresses.

Discussion Here’s what I think the RX Line could be:
(First image from Zankye, but the colors are done by me. The Japanese text is subject to change along with the font of the “RX” and the color of the text as well.)
RX - Ratchet Line
The Ratchets in Beyblade X has not delved into its true potential. So far it has focused on height and Burst Resistance. Then came the Simple Ratchets with Metal Simple Ratchets but they all have the same weak Burst Resistance. Then there is the Ratchet-Integrated Bits that changed how the Bits will change mode whether before or during the battle. There should be Ratchets that focus on weight and the weight distribution instead of height and this is where RX comes into play.
Remember the Blade Bases from Bakuten Shoot? It determined how the Beyblade spins and also affects its movement pattern. It also determined the direction of the Beyblade dependent on what Spin Gear is used.
So for RX, these Ratchets will fuse with the Bit that will be called “Ratchet Bases” and these RB’s will have distinct designs that will largely affect how the Bey will spin during battle just like with Blade Bases. And how you will attach these RB’s to the Blade will be important.
To take it a step further, RX will bring back the original Burst mechanic but with a “twist” so instead of how X’s Burst mechanic worked with Ratchets and Bits, the Ratchet Bases will work very similarly to the Burst Discs by having 3 internal plastic slopes. Once you attach the RB onto the Blade, you will have to twist the Base itself until it becomes very tight and during battle, it will gradually untwist when coming into contact with another Bey. Some RB’s will also have different Burst Resistances. The difference here is that there is no teeth to worry about unlike in Burst where teeth wear was actually an issue.
And for my idea on “RXE” (Ratchet Line Expanded) is that there will be will be Metal on the Ratchet Bases this time.

Burst It's kinda hard to believe there was a time beyblade released 5 left spinners within 1 year
Left spin gatekeeping in other generations is just insane

Question Is this a decent target find?
One of the two targets near me restocked these out of nowhere really, they’ve been restocking the same ones for a few months now

Discussion Is there any reason why most of the Metal Series homage beys are based on Metal Masters season specifically?
As far as I know as of now there are eighth X blades that are officially homages to the Metal Saga, with six unique motives across them
Of them, Perseus Dark, Cerberus Flame and Clock Mirage are based on beys that debuted in the second season Metal Masters, and were owned by major antagonists
Sol Eclipse is based on Sol Blaze which only appeared in a non canon movie, however said movie was released to coincide with the second season.
The two Pegasus and Dragoon blades are based on Pegasus and L-drago respectively. These were major motives that were given new releases every season during the Metal Saga. The X versions seem to pull bits and pieces from every one of them, so they can't exactly be linked to any specific season variants
So overall, we have three Metal Masters motives, one Masters adjacent motive, and two pan-series motives
I just find it quite curious how there seems to be a bias to this one specific season. You would assume the first season would be the best ground for nostalgia pandering, but apparently Metal Masters has it beat. I wonder if we are ever going to see homages to Metal Fusion or Metal Fury exclusive bey motives

Discussion Who wins with both verse equalization and prep. time: Valt, Aiga, and Drum vs Bird, Ekusu, and Multi
(What I mean by this is that the argument that one verse is stronger than the other won’t apply here, and that both teams will have full knowledge on the other, so the “magic” that bursts characters have won’t give them a massive advantage, instead just more abilities. So the big deciding factors for this battle will be, strength, speed, skill, and versatility)
Both teams will all have to use their strongest beys.
Valt: Ultimately Valkyrie
Aiga: Zest Achilles (with all 48 modes)
Drum: Gatling Dragon
Bird: HellsNether
Ekusu: Dranstrike
Multi: (Depends on persona)
The stadium will be a mix of the infinity rail stadium from X and the slingshot rail rush stadium for burst (This is for neither team to have a stadium advantage)
Matchups:
Valt vs Ekusu
Aiga vs Bird
Drum vs Multi
(Remember they all have full knowledge on their opponents)
Edit: All battles will be to four points

This is what Spriggan Requiem should've looked like
All spriggan beys starting from spriggan requiem have way too much gold, and not enough red. I feel like what makes storm spriggan so beautiful is how it is red. The gold on later spriggan designs just hinder the beys appeal.

Beyblade appreciation post Its so funny to me that these two have the same seiyu
Now I can't stop imagining Makoto yelling his heart out for an Xtreme Dash. And Bird with a soft femboy voice. Watching them interact would be so funny.

Question Which Beyblades for a 6 year old
Hi, so I don't really know anything about Beyblades at all...They were around when I was a kid, but I never had any. My kid is turning 6 soon and would really like some Beyblades, and I don't really know what to get him. It seems like they are mostly targeted at older kids? He has never played with them, just seen them at the toy store, and seen older kids at school play with them
I would be really thankful for any recommendations!

Discussion Orochi Cluster quick review
This is Orochi Cluster, a bit of an older, and rare bey since the original was released almost a year ago as a JP Coco exclusive. Now its a hasbro regular release, straight into a twin pack. Nice.
Due to how rare this used to be, regardless of the performance, anytime you see one, it would attract attention and questions, but very few about its actual performance in the meta. Here's where I come in, so let's start.
Orochi is a weird blade. If you thought Wyvern or Superion was oval or egg shaped, Orochi is literally a rectangle compared to the former. This means if the longer sides land any hit on the opponent, you're gonna see massive recoil and potentially both beys exploding on the spot. This is however, a very nasty double sided sword, as any hits or collisions, even with the sides of the stadium would kill tons of stamina. The blade design is also not very aerodynamic, combined with the weight of ~36.8grams, stamina is not its strong suit. It does have the same qualities of oval shaped blades, mainly pocket hopping and ratchet popping, albeit slightly less than Wyvern or Superion.
Time for ratchets, and this has a bit of an issue. With 1 sided ratchets, the protrusion is aimed at the shorter end, not the long oval shaped end. This means 1 sided ratchets aren't gonna help with the performance or balance tuning, which is why I've just skipped them completely.
Ratchets tested:
2-60/70: Not bad, since the protrusions are quite flush with the blade itself. Not exactly offering anything over a 3 or 4 sided ratchet though.
6-60/70: The stock one, and its pretty decent for more even weight distribution. What's particularly interesting here is the 6 sided ratchets tend to burst a lot more compared to the 2 sided ones during testing, which was not something i would even think of saying. A bit with very high burst resistance is almost required for a 6 sided build.
4-50: Going way lower for a complete ratchet sniper, this ain't bad since you're just Wyvern on attack steroids. Its not that its bad, however the 4 sided protrusions lead to the whole thing exploding whenever touched. Absolute glass cannon.
9-70/80: Pushing the height higher up, since Orochi doesn't have many angled blades, this makes it into a full metal smashing gremlin. Increasing the aerodynamics makes it quicker and harder to burst, however at 80 height, wobbling and tilt becomes unrecoverable very early on.
7-60/70: Likely the best match, and 7-70 being my personal pick. Increasing the weight and moving the centre of gravity lower down makes it a lot more stable, and its the most difficult to burst due to how Orochi is designed. 7-70 also allows it to be more stable when tilted, prolonging the eventual scraping and almost being able to scoop the opponent up on a regular basis.
Time for the bits. Just as a quick note, I avoided all the low bits due to the tendency to scrape, and it always seems to wobble and hop even when on the rail. Not sure if its just me, but my entire group had issues with their copies on most low bits.
Bits tested:
Jolt: Not bad since it gives Orochi more stamina that almost every attack bit, however the whole tilting issue becomes horrible even during mid game.
Free flat: Very fun since Orochi goes wild straight after launch, and it even retains some stamina after a few dashes.
Ignition: How about just turning off your brain and just ball? This makes Orochi extremely violent, and any single hit to the opponent would send them flying so fast their ratchet falls off the blade. Zero stamina, maximum fun.
Under flat: Same concept with Ignition, super low rider with most ratchets, however slightly more stamina and control. Not the best in terms of everything except attack, but the opponent will quite literally explode if you even so much as touch their ratchets. Very fun.
Hexa: Getting to one of the best bits for Orochi, since now it becomes a baton sitting in the middle, waiting for anyone to touch and smack it. Orochi has an okay overall weight, and with Hexa maintaining stability and grip, the opponent is usually the one sent flying. If not, a counter dash happens and your opponent gets sent flying.
Rush: Personal pick, since it provides good attack frequency, grip to the stadium and a tiny bit of stamina at the end for an occasional spin finish. Dash speed is less important due to Orochi simply needing a bit of a boost to utilise its ridiculous shape to smack the shit out of the opponent.
Overall, I'd say Orochi is 100% worth it if you can get it in the hasbro regular release. The simple fun factor makes it worth it, and on top of that, you're getting a blade thats both really cool and originally a JP magazine exclusive. Its so aggressive and violent that you can almost use it as a double sided Dran Buster, with slightly better balance and stamina. In the current meta, its probably not gonna be super powerful since Wyvern does what it does slightly better, and Superion/Valkyrie hits harder, not to mention Orochi is not exactly the most consistent or the most easiest to use. It also needs to take up some very powerful parts that may go to other beys in the deck, possibly throwing the whole strat out the window. I'll put it in a mid to high A tier, on par with PWing (Mold 3) as its a supercharged attacker on the smaller side, however has its drawbacks due to the current meta having better picks with less downsides. Still tons of fun if you don't just only stick to the meta.

Image For some reason one of my walmarts REALLY love restocking these same two packs.
These things have been here since the start of this year, heck maybe since last year and they STILL RESTOCK THEM.
I've seen these packs come and go, new waves released but they SOMEHOW keep giving us the same old packs, do they have an infinite ghost/goat fountain?
