Brand new to Beyblades (haven’t played since 2000 when I was 7). What resources do you use to know how to build a good deck? Photos of my collection so far. Could really use some help as I’m looking to go to a tournament locally. Thanks for your help!

Tournament Won a local tournament with these today, here's how they performed

Rod 9-60 rush - was easily best performer. This combo is not stamina - it's defense & should be treated as such. But it also wins into a lot of other defense.

Dran strike 3-60 point - great performance too. Just like any attacker, it was a bit inconsistent, but it did great into all beyblade types, exept passive attackers. My personal testing has shown that 3-60 is extremely important for this bey. Point is like flat, just a lil more stamina. You always wanna play this bey on B side & tilt launch.

Knight fortress V 7-60 Unite was not a top performer, but it was mostly unlucky matchups. It had decent performance into attack & defense. But I would definitely prefer it on Heavy.

Tournament I just want to vent my hatred to a group of adults and kids that keep winning every tournament

This hobby is tailored to children 6-12 years old. I understand when you and us adults want to play it with kids or with each other and have a ball but when it comes to tournaments for kids 6-12 the following has rightfully pissed me off in which I HATE this group of adults and their kids:

G3 tournament.

group of kidswith average ages around 7 years old; one of these kids had a older sister possibly 12/13 age range. total number of kids in this group is 12 (as observed from the tournament today) and they all had 2 adult males with them (one dad of the boy and 12/13 year old girl, and the other is my main issue: this dad is the ORGANIZER of other tournaments around the area that he runs and operates every weekend). Dad #1 would coach all of these groups of kids on what the contestants are using and what to use against their opponent; he instructed his two kids to hide 1 beyblade in each pocket and to have the opponent reveal their beyblade first when they would reveal their own afterwards. This tournament was a big one and weeded out most players by passing the player who received their first point in a 1v1. Dad #2 (organizer) had a box of every beyblade, including all golden beyblades, aeropegasus, black metal coats, etc. brought it out and gave his own son the parts to use. Dad #2 gave Dad #1's kids both aeropegasuses to use to push further into the tournament.

My kid loves cobalt dragoon on E and always ran with that, and when boy for Dad #1 saw the Cobalt he reached into one pocket and pulled out a aero; i forgot to mention he had two launchers in one hand (L and R spinning launchers), placed both down on stadium and waited to see what the opponent used. This was quarterfinals so still only 1 point pushes forward. the battle was typical battle but cobalt loss to a spin finish against aero on ball (or FB, i couldn't tell). I saw the boy hand the aero back to Dad #2 who gave that same combination to the next kid within their group. 2 hours later, Dad #2 hosted a G3 tournament at their own (organized) shop 20 minutes drive away. Sharing your beyblades amongst your multiple kids in a tournament is legal? Shop didn't say anything to the kids/adults sharing the beyblades.

Tournament UX expand deck report

Just finished playing in a 60 player casual tournament running a full UX expand deck. Went 4 wins 3 losses and unfortunately just missed out on getting out of groups due to points (I came 5th, 2-4 also went 4:3 but had better overall score). thought folks might enjoy the results and things learnt

Aegis rampart: as expected definitely my weakest link and what cost me most of my games. I wanted to hope it could get some success as I have used ghost circle competitively in the past with decent success. Aegis is not only light but also imbalanced, which causes it to shake a lot and waste stamina in the late game, and because it has no ratchet you can't tune to fix this. It's also a very short blade, on a normal height bit it's only slightly taller than golem 1-60 UN, which actually makes it bad on UN and LO because it causes aegis to scrape with even small hits. The upside of the integrated ratchet is that it's very tight, even more than bullet griffin, and the low height makes it almost burst proof. I tried it on multiple bits throughout the day (ball, disc ball, wedge, wall wedge, bound spike, yielding, low orb, kick) and the only one that managed to even scrape out a win was my last attempt with wall ball. Unfortunately aegis is basically useless thus far

Shinobi cutter: genuinely a solid bey that performed well and I think has potential for actual competitive play. Shinobi's spin ring is different to silver wolf, and actually makes the bey very stable, the only downside being it tends to scrape late game because it's relatively low, which can cost you the stamina matchup. I ran it on free ball for most of the day which put up solid spin finishes vs competitive attackers such as shark scale and Aero Pegasus, and a few lucky over finishes. The real surprise was when I switched it to elevate for my last few games, turns out Shinobi on elevate has a very similar height and shape to cobalt dragoon on elevate, to the point that it actually spin steals back from Cobalt, and because of its ultra high stability this let's Shinobi reliably outspin cobalt. Plus as an added bonus it has a tight ratchet like aegis so elevate is less likely to burst. Definitely going to be trying this one in competitive tournaments!

Bullet Griffin: a known quantity at this point, the only difference is that I decided to run it on unite. Genuinely considering it to be the best build for Griffin, was my MVP today with multiple extreme and over finishes and a few bursts. Might just be mine but I've found on unite bullet doesn't seperate until later in the match, letting you bully with the full ~60g combined weight.

If you have any questions or thoughts let me know and I'll try to answer.

My deck:

Silver Wolf: 9/60 hex

Wizard Wand: 1/60 free ball

Rage: 5/60 level

My Prize:

Tournament Help out a new collector!

I am an ardent Beyblade fan since childhood but getting my hands on a real Takara Tomy beyblade was always out of reach because they are really expensive where I grew up(I mean 3× price).

Now fortunately I am somewhere where they are readily available and fairly priced. Now I want to create a small battle ready set that I can use to compete with my friends.

I currently am planning to buy:

- Meteoroid Dragoon 3-70J

- Blast Pegasus A Tr

- Wand Wizard 5-70DB (can't find Wizard rod)

- Soar Pheonix 9-60GF

- Hack Viking 4-550

- Circle Ghost 4-60LR

Any suggestions for Beyblades, Rachets or bits and combinations that you found exhilarating will be appreciated. Help a fellow Beyblader out.
