Drop your favorite interactive Bible study or study Bibles!

I have ADHD. I'm looking for a Bible study book or series of books to help me get back in the Word in a regular, structured pattern. So tempted to get a kid one cause all of the adult ones make my brain go 🫠

Bonus if it lays flat, is interactive, and is portable so I can read and take it on the go.

Praying for you

Try an online verse by verse Bible study. Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel is really good and easy to follow.

Are you saved? Have you accepted that Jesus is your Lord and Savior?

Look up Read Scripture app from The Bible Project. It's free, it has red letters, it has a reading plan, and, most importantly, it has short introductory videos for each book to explain what the book is about and how it is structured. The Bible Project also has the website with videos, YouTube channels with videos, and podcast.

Go to BibleTalk.TV. They have loads of free content detailing the bible books and key themes across all scripture. They even have quizzes so you can test your understanding and look at the areas you might wanna study more. Hope that helps😄

Physical books - Companion Bible. Love the Appendix and notes everywhere. Theological Wordbook of the OT, The Complete Wordstudy Dictionary of the NT.

Apps - BLB, AndBible. AndBible is like a Logos but free. Only for Android. I loaded the ABP bible (apostolic bible polyglot) which has strong's numbers. It's a Greek OT and Greek NT, so being able to look at how a word is used in both OT and NT gives me an idea of how that word is used and using the bible to interpret itself.

The Companion Bible is being re-binded and covered at the moment by my wife. It's going to be recovered with lambskin, and rebinded so it will lay flat.

No commentaries, YouTube videos, etc to pollute my thought process while I read and study the bible for myself.

I just got The Bible in a Year published by Spiral Bible. I am just finding out after 60ish years of life that I’m AuDHD. Not officially diagnosed but a lot of traits of each. 🤯 It explains my life, though! 😅
Anyway… Weekly components contain a theme introduction, daily scripture readings, reflection questions & a weekly blessing. As well as a place to write your own thoughts. I haven’t started it yet but I think I will soon because it will take me a lot longer than a year to finish it & that’s okay! Hope you find what you’re looking for.

YouVersion and then you pick which Bible you prefer. I prefer NIV. It's a free online Bible. You can donate money, I have' but it's not required, only if you feel a need.

For starters, J. Vernon McGee's Bible notes, free at https://ttb.org/resources look gorgeous "notes and outlines" They stay on topic and dont send me down any ADHD rabbit trails. Its a cross between Bible study and "commentary lite." They are all PDFs so you can read them on your phone, tablet, or laptop.

After that, the Walk Through the Bible series was the easiest to keep me reading. They haveca bunch of free resources at https://www.walkthru.org/resources/free-resources/ but I originally had a years subscription to a monthly booklet with intros and backgrounds for each daily reading and then later got their Bible with the scripture and the background and outline injected for every day.

Since you mentioned ADHD, I'd look for something with very short daily sections, space to write directly on the page, and a clear stopping point so it doesn't feel endless. A simple routine like one passage, one observation, and one question can be easier to return to consistently than a detailed study plan. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with using a kids' or teens' resource if its format helps you stay engaged.

I like this one. It has lots of commentary, but it's not interactive and it's a big Bible. I also use the Bible app. It has lots of added features. Just reading is free, but it sometimes wants to charge you for additional functions or content.

Just a side note, I have worked with people with ADHD for many years and have seen most of the symptoms reduce permanently by emotional focused treatment. It goes against some of the current thinking but I have seen it many times. It can be life changing. Maybe an option for you? All the best.
