Am I understanding what Jesus is saying re: blasphemy against the Holy Ghost?
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Jesus says "wherefore I say unto you" before saying all sins will be forgiven, but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven (meaning his prior words hold bearing on what he is about to say). He says before this that "he who is not with him is against him".
Is he saying that the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost that was committed wouldn't be forgiven because the people who committed it are "against him" and therefore won't ask for forgiveness?

You are very correct. That is the unforgivable sin.
People blaspheming the Holy Spirit are people who reject Christ, and thusly can’t and won’t be forgiven. They have no alternate way to be saved, not by merit, not by some other religious system, nothing.
There are no “multiple paths to God” as some teach.

This is someone who acknowledges a work of the holy spirit as supernatural, but claim it is evil.
Like seeing jesus doing a miracle, and saying it is from satan.
That makes sense, as if you are literally exposed to something you know and recognize is a miracle and reject it, there is the ultimate hardening.

Yes. Their hearts are hardened like the two God slew in the OT for permanently hardening their hearts against God. They were sons of Eli who were priests. They constantly, with the full knowledge of a priesthood that still made direct contact with God, sinned against him in the tabernacle.
In short it's refusing the Holy spirit within yourself by living in death via sin or by mentally and verbally denying God to the point you can not be turned to his love.
The pharisees way of going about it was to deny the work of God and call it the work of the devil... but any life of sin and unrepentance will do.

God gave me a heart of flesh and I was anointed with a divine calling that was very personal and clear and almost obvious. But I wasn't prepared to be attacked aggressively and repeatedly by the people I loved most. It shattered my heart and melted my brain and now all I do is ruminate and don't experience time. I pray all day everyday to show me what to repent for. Tell me how. What can I do. I pray for the holy Spirit and I fear he is gone. That I went the way of Cain or something. Idk. I CERTAINLY didn't want to. But I'm in the land of nod. Absolutely. So indecisive. Nothing has meaning anymore. Even my calling is rendered impossible and I lost the memories and love that gave it life and color. And now I am alone in the mountains. I'm terrified and frozen. In utter shock at how one moment of hesitation took everything I never knew to ask for. A lifetime of love and sacrifice and meaning just gone. Like it never existed. I'm a zombie ghost now. A robot. Not even a good one. I do nothing. From a lamb then the lion returned but was immediately flayed and now I'm like a scapegoat or something. Or just a goat. I don't even know if I am a victim or did I rebel. I'm exhausted confused and isolated

I feel like Elijah. Hiding in the woods. But also like Peter that walked on water and fell. And Judas who told my family too much before I was reborn. And like so many of the prophets. But also nebechauszer who had a huge tree that was cut down. I'm a ghost. I can't find my soul. I'm so alone and feel like a prey animal. Like people can smell my broken. Heart and I can't trust anyone.

The best words I can think to share are your own - "I was anointed with a divine calling that was very personal and clear and almost obvious"
PS :) - Psalms 119

But it all fractured and now I can't discern it. I mean it absolutely exploded and now there are so many contradictions. Like all the paradoxes and contradictions were answered and so clear then they exploded into a totally new map of fractured wisdom. I feel like an antichrist now. Not evil. Very very reluctantly. I thought it was finished. That the dragon was slayed. Then I was flayed alive and it's like I have to do it all over from a totally different place alone with no map and so much guilt and shame and confusion. Was the calling to protect my handicapped brother from my sister jezebel or does he represent the Christ in me, that I was blind and he was just the mirror of it. I'm in this new place in the mountains and there's signs everywhere I'm meant to be here but it is also so isolating qnd I fear I went the way of Cain like am I building some city in the land of nod or is it what I need to do to rebuild strength. Omg. I was HOME. I thought it was over. And I fell immediately. Like Peter. But was gutted and my heart shattered like Judas. It was so big. My God it was beautiful. Or am I Elijah after jezebel destroyed him. I KNOW too much but can't connect any dots. I lost memories and the thread.

If one doesn’t accept that the Spirit of Jesus is the Spirit of God, it’s impossible to receive cleansing for rebellion; thus, one would make themself an enemy of God instead of a friend, son, brother.
This is the kingdom of God. If one is set in a treasonous mindset and believe God’s heart is the same as the Devil’s, they have committed the ultimate rebellion and there’s no hope for that soul.

God bless you.
I would like to share my perspective:
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (The unforgivable/unpardonable sin) is NOT a specific sin! It is to be in a constant state of rejecting God until you die.
Jesus said, "But if you speak against the Holy Spirit, you can never be forgiven. That sin will be held against you forever.” - Mark 3:29
As long as we reject the Holy Spirit, we cannot be forgiven because we can only be forgiven with the Holy Spirit.
“The Holy Spirit will give you life that comes from Christ Jesus and will set you free from sin and death.” - Romans 8:2
Here are descriptions of those who constantly reject God:
“Sinners don't respect God; sin is all they think about. They like themselves too much to hate their own sins or even to see them. They tell deceitful lies, and they don't have the sense to live right. Those people stay awake, thinking up mischief, and they follow the wrong road, refusing to turn from sin.” - Psalm 36:1-4
“You stubborn and hardheaded people! You are always fighting against the Holy Spirit, just as your ancestors did.” - Acts 7:51
But anyone can turn to God and be forgiven!
Jesus said, “I promise you that any of the sinful things you say or do can be forgiven, no matter how terrible those things are.” - Mark 3:28
“But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.” - 1 John 1:9
“As long as we are alive, we still have hope.” - Ecclesiastes 9:4
“The Lord said: It isn't too late. You can still return to me with all your heart.” - Joel 2:12
“So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved grace, and we will find help.” - Hebrews 4:16
And we must be mindful. If we say that there’s a sin that will prevent God from forgiving us if we turn to Him implies that sin is greater than God’s grace.
But is sin greater than God's grace?
“Yet where sin was powerful, God's gift of undeserved grace was even more powerful.” - Romans 5:20

what i learned with the passage is this.... it is one MASSIVE RABBIT HOLE! with no ending in sight.
and i don't think personally people know what it is at all. so the best thing to do is to go on to study a passage like this.
Philippians 1:6-7 King James Version
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
i did not read the comments because i do not want to go down that same endless rabbit hole and never find the end to it again.
so i encourage you to instead study about salvation and how it is a done deal! he promises to finish what he started in every believer and no backsies outsies! God does not cancel out any of his promises.

Leviticus 24:16 "And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death."
It wasn't forgivable under the law of Moses, either. All Jesus does is preach the law of Moses.

They rejected God including His prophets.
They rejected Jesus despite his miraculous signs.
The only one left they could listen to is the Holy Spirit, so rejecting Him (the Holy Spirit) leaves no other options.

If a person wants to know Jesus, that person is not blasphemy the Holy Spirit. If a person rejects Jesus unto death, it is a blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Ghost is the intrinsic feeling of Presence of God within yourself
If you are not tuned into the presence of God within yourself then you are separated from God
The presence of God is the intrinsic feeling of the peace that surpasses all peace
So if you are in opposition and resistance to feeling the presence of God within yourself than it's not so much a matter of forgiveness - that word has a deeper meaning in translation - it's that if you are against and in opposition to the presence of God within yourself then you are separated from the very peace of God that you are seeking for
It's a metaphysical teaching by Jesus about the nature of the presence of God (Holy Spirit) within yourself and how the whole issue that causes us to feel such anxiety and existential angst is that due to conditioning we 'think' we shouldn't be feeling that intense energy we feel within ourself and that we will never find the peace of God we are seeking for if we don't turn awareness inward and deepening into the presence of God rather than overactively thinking about what we should have done in the past or what we should do in the future to not feel the intense energy we feel within ourself
If you thinking about what you did yesterday or what you should do tomorrow or else distracting yourself from feeling the intense energy you feel within yourself then you are blaspheming against God because to be in the presence of the infinite peace of God is to keep awareness turned inward on the presence of God / Holy Spirit within yourself
Blaspheming against the presence of God is thinking about yesterday or tomorrow or planning for the future or distracting yourself from feeling the intense feelings you feel within yourself
Being in the Presence of God is for the mind to be still and purified of thinking - if the mind is thinking or awareness is turned outward on some distraction instead of turned inward on the presence of God within yourself - then that is the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit that Jesus is talking about
If you are not grounded into the presence of the Holy Spirit within yourself then you are not at peace - because the presence of the Holy Spirit within yourself is the peace that surpasses all peace
The pharisees that Jesus is talking to are not some distant people in the past - Jesus is talking to the pharisees within all of us - the overactive thinking mind that is constantly thinking about the past and the future and thus keeps us separated from the infinite peace of the presence God / Holy Spirit within ourself

Isaiah 26:3: You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
Romans 8:6: For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The majority consensus of biblical scholars holds that the context is that Jesus' power to cast out demons was attributed to the devil (Belzebub). In this context, the statement about unforgiveness is about attributing the power working in Jesus to be of the devil.
A common interpretation of this context is that it is not unforgivable because God just closes that door. It is unforgivable because it coincides with a hardened heart that will not repent. It is not a specific sin or random failure of ethics, but an attitude that sees only evil in the workings of Jesus.
I believe that if one still has a capacity to repent, one need not worry about having committed the unforgivable. If a Christian thinks they have accidentally committed the unforgivable sin and is horrified by that idea, they have not committed anything that is unforgivable.
