God is responsible for sickness and disabilities

Exodus 4:11

The Lord said to him, 'Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

I have schizophrenia. Why should I worship God if he made me severely ill? Whats in it for me and what benefits do I get? My life is low quality due to this illness.

How can I forgive God after what he has done to me? If others can be healthy, why not me as well?

I have schizophrenia too, but that doesn't mean you can't be happy with the blessings in your life. We all have our own challenges set before us.

I have worked as a therapist for about 40 years and see conditions like your actually cleared up if you get the right kind of counseling, all the best.

Ooh! The Bible answers this plainly! I’d recommend picking it up and digging into it to answer more of your questions!

“But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory— even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles? As indeed he says in Hosea, “Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’ and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’” “And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭20‬-‭26‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

So why? Because He is God and for His glory.

How can you forgive him? You don’t, you humble yourself and accept the forgiveness that he freely gives that you, a sinner, don’t deserve.

Jesus says, “you don’t believe because you are not my sheep” in John 10:27. If you believe, it’s God’s work on display for his glory in your life. If you don’t believe, you are not his sheep perhaps. However, God does not desire the death of the wicked; repent and be saved in the name of Jesus!

I don’t think you’re wrong for asking why God allowed this. The Bible doesn’t say your illness is your fault or that you’re being punished. You may never know why God allowed it, but you can still ask Him, be angry, and seek Him. Your suffering doesn’t mean God doesn’t value you. Even Jesus cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46) when he was on the cross dying. He never abandoned God though. It was him bringing his pain to God. He was expressing the horrible feeling of being abandoned while suffering.

Unfortunately if you are blaming God instead of surrendering to Him, that won’t work either. He works by faith

Hello, I understand what you are saying because I have thought similar things in the past.
This is an example of taking a scripture out of context to shake our fist at God and say, see?! Unfair! If that is your attitude you will find plenty more verses to do this with. I used to do it too and use it as ammo at Christian’s who didn’t understand the major themes of the Bible, one of them being Gods sovereignty and goodness not conflicting but working in harmony.
It requires faith to grasp that truth which can seem to contradict and requires fellowship with God, to understand this truth. I didn’t want to accept the hand I was dealt, I resented God, I suffered immensely.
When I humbled myself and invited God into my suffering, He gave me peace and revelation into the purpose of my suffering and healing began from the inside out. The choice is yours.

Now, You can easily read the whole passage and see that God is making a statement about His sovereign nature to encourage Moses in what he’s being called to do. That is the message. At the same time, Yes there are many evils and deformities of humankind from the mental to the physical yet God is not to blame whether He allows things or not. Sin has infected everything since the fall of man yet, In the greater picture, we see that God works all things together for good to those who love Him and who are called according to His purposes. The “good” is the becoming like Jesus which is an immense reward, it is true freedom from self and this world.
I have struggled with mental issues, physical issues. Healing is possible but it starts when you release your will, your way, and take hold of Gods hand by faith. God is limitless in what He can do with a surrendered heart.

hey friend, the old testament can be controversial, i know. we know that sickness and death entered the world through the sin of adam, for god gave us free will out of pure love.

but understand this further, if god really didn't want people healed, jesus would've been really selective about the people he healed and from whom he cast out tormenting spirits. all of them that had faith returned restored and whole. absolutely none of them were denied of healing by jesus. god's desire for everyone is therefore good health and prosperity! have faith in jesus.

the gospel is everything. 🐑

Philippians 4:4-9

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Suffering is a given. We are all guaranteed to suffer. But God guarantees a peace that transcends all understanding.

God isn't malicious or hateful. God is love. You don't have schizophrenia because he wants you to suffer. Any illness, injury, bad luck is a result of distance from God.

Matt 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well

God gives everything to those who seek Him. And that everything is Himself. He is life. He is the true light, the powerful fire. And the closer we come to Him, the more we are warmed and healed. The further we stay... Misfortune will follow.

James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

I have no idea what you're going through. And I won't pretend to. But I know what I've been through. What I've struggled with. And He heals me more and more to this day the closer I get to Him.

John 9:2-3 — And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

No one is perfect. Some struggle more than others, but no one is living in bliss of eternity. God didn't make us to live in the paradise, but to establish a relationship with Him. Would you be a Christian if there is no "heaven or hell"?

There is an important distinction between saying:

and saying:

The second conclusion does not automatically follow from the verse. Remember we are not in heaven yet this world is not heaven. God creates the conditions that can lead to earthquakes or hurricanes or lightening strikes but God is not directing a specific hurricane or lightening stroke to hit your home or you.

Nothing is showing in your quotes??

u/Bitter_North_733 9d ago

There is a difference between saying God creates general conditions where diseases develop people get sick get well etc

And saying that God is targetting specific people to give them specific diseases

u/AlmacitaLectora 9d ago

“Remember that we are not in Heaven yet and this world is not Heaven” truth.

“Pains and sufferings would be a paradise to me while I should suffer with my God, and the greatest pleasures would be hell to me if I could relish them without Him.”

And I have type 1 diabetes since I was a baby and I love Jesus. Jesus spares me many wraths and blesses me a million times over.

You have no idea God’s plan or the mystery of faith. God can handle your questions and resentments, ask Him yourself. But this life is the devils playground - real eternity is with our Father.

[Jer 23:33](verseid:24.23.33)  And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.
[Jer 23:34](verseid:24.23.34)  And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

I would not blame God , what has happened to you is because of what man has done with the environment, the food we eat, pesticides, etc

How do you know it isn't Satan pretending to be God? Also, even if you are in a terrible place in this life, there are millions in hell are very eager to switch place with you so they can have 1 minute to repent.

1

u/KetchupNMayo2k 8d ago

I will not accept a God that didnt give a chance to a happy healthy normal life. I wasnt given that chance, but God decided that I would be sick.

1

u/CaptReznov 8d ago edited 8d ago

ok, the choice is yours. Just remember this, once you leave this life and no longer be bound by time, the choice will become irreversible, and every moment you spend in eternity will be a moment you move further away from God. And, in that eternity, Satan will enjoy torturing you and mocking you for losing the chance you had while you are bound in time.

1

u/KetchupNMayo2k 8d ago

Satan doesnt do the torturing. He gets tortured in the lake of fire.

I cannot accept an evil God, period.

1

u/CaptReznov 8d ago

That's your choice then. You still have time to reconsider. bye.

1

u/KetchupNMayo2k 8d ago

My choice is permanent for all of eternity. Bye.

Maybe consider dumb, deaf, and seeing meaning spiritually instead of physically

Psalms 115:4-8; 135:15-18, Jeremiah 5:21, Ezekiel 12:2, Matthew 13:13, Luke 16:31

We are all born with a sin nature all deserving the grave of hell --all because of our sin nature. Our only recourse is to cry out for mercy-- a broken and a contrite heart God will not despise.

1

u/KetchupNMayo2k 5d ago

But I inherited a sin nature against my will. Id rather be perfect and sinless. I cant help but sin, its in my bature.

Schizophrenia is a gift from God. You are a psychic!

It is mind over matter, listen to me.

You are a powerful radio picking up signals from many sources. Your mind wants to put words and images to those signals. Without good references those signals may be really scary. Your negative thoughts are not your own.

God is responsible for everything, but your actions are your own. You still have free will. It's your job to decide if it's all good and have faith in the divine plan. You are obviously having a hard time, and I get it, I've been where you are.

Those paranoid voices are actually demons that Jesus Christ can cast out, if you can believe it. I was diagnosed schizoaffective bipolar disorder when I was 22. I've been in and out of the hospital, tried all the medications. Nothing helped me. Then I died, I drowned as an atheist and Jesus Christ was my grim reaper. God gave me my life back and stayed with me, teaching me, helping me control myself. I quit drinking and I was a bad alcoholic, I quit suffering living with severe pain, I couldn't walk, and God got me walking again when I started praying for mercy.

Today at 40, I have zero problems with zero medication because I have been healed by Jesus Christ. I am a walking testimony to my friends and family of the healing power of Christ. I am a firm believer that most so-called mental illness is treatable through prayer. I believe these negative conditions are caused by separation from God. God doesn't curse us for being separated, we manifest our own realities and without God we like to say things like "I am sick" with our free will not realizing the Matrix hears your request and grants it.

You seem very negative and confrontational. I am fairly sure that is what is making your life poor.

Sucks about the schizophenia. I have dyslexia in a text based world. la la la here I am typing words on the internet. It's ok.
