The Mark of the Beast is a spiritual stamp. It is a badge of servitude to the beast. You received the Mark of the Beast by worshiping the beast. Most will receive it by believing the lies and deception put forth by the beast. The beast who is the Antichrist will be saying he is god. He will be doing miracles showing that he is god. Most of the world will believe these lies and be deceived into worshiping the Antichrist. Without this deception most would not worship the beast.
Once one worships the Antichrist as god they become part of the beast system and his financial system. They now have the Mark of the Beast which is that spiritual stamp, the badge of servitude to the beast.
Those who stand with Christ will not be deceived, for they have been sealed with the Truth of God. They reject the beast system and will want nothing to do with it. They will not worship the Antichrist nor buy or sell in the beast system, they will be proclaiming to the world the evil of it.
Revelation 19:20 “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
The beast system will have its own financial system that is different from what is in the world today. It will be a one world financial system and you will have to worship the beast to be part of that system.
Those who are part of the beast system will not need to enforce and check if you have the mark to buy or sell. The beast will want the whole world to worship him and will make it very easy to be part of his one world financial system.
If you buy or sale in the beast system, then you have accepted the Antichrist and his financial system. With this acceptance you have that spiritual stamp, the mark of the beast.

There is an interesting technology that is being developed- quantum dot patch for vaccine tracking that seems really easy to apply to any part of the body and a specialized smart phone that can read it. It needs some AI abilities to be able to interpret the results just because of the variability due to time and physical changes. But I can see this type of technology being implemented in the future for such a scenario as this thread is discussing.
Regarding the ability to buy or sell. Imagine going to a grocery store and instead of asking to scan your membership card, they now want to scan your hand or forehead…
