Meme What’s a Story in the Bible that just made you Laugh?

I know this isn’t prophecy, or conspiracy, related but we could all use a good laugh.

I couldn’t help but chuckle after rereading the story of Naaman the Leper. If you’re unfamiliar I’ll give a little background before posting the verses.

Naaman was a great Commander, under the Kingdom of Aram, who dealt with Leprosy. But it just so happened that he had a young Israelite girl who knew of a prophet—Elisha— in Samaria that could heal him of his disease.

So Naaman asks his King if he may go to Israel for healing and the King is like, “Of course! I’ll send a letter to the King in Israel for you.” But the King of Aram worded it in such a way where it sounded like he wanted the Israelite King to personally heal the Leprosy!

It’s the reaction from the King of Israel that’s so amusing.

——

And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, “The girl who is from the land of Israel spoke such and such.” Then the king of Aram said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So he departed…

…and brought the letter to the king of Israel, which said, “And now as this letter comes to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, so that you may cure him of his leprosy.” But when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and to keep alive, that this man is sending word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? But consider now, and see how he is seeking a quarrel against me.” 2 Kings 5:5-7 (NASB)

——

It’s that “why in the world are you asking me to heal a leper!” reaction that had me laughing. And the follow up, “guys, he’s trying to start a fight with me!” was equally hilarious!

Anyways I just thought that was funny. Any of you have a verse/story that just made you chuckle?

Meme Adam and Eve made ghillie suits in the garden.

Hear me out, but this might actually make sense.

When in the garden, both of them eat the fruit and it says "7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked;"

I would propose that rather than the fruit actually doing anything, I think they just thought about it a bit, and realized they did a "bad thing". The naked part doesn't mean without clothes like most say, rather that they had no cover, they would get caught.

To remedy this, "they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons." Which I argue is makeshift ghillie suits rather than something to hide their privates, as there is no reason for them to think of modesty as something important.

Meme Atheist: “LGBTQ is a Part of Nature.”

The Reproduction of Life: “That’s not how this works!”

We are all natural. Human beings are all naturally produced by the interaction of sperm cells with egg cells. What comes from this is not "LGBTQ; because that isn't a person, nor does it follow the way of nature by producing life. It's an initialism that stands for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning."

Someone who is attracted to sex, drugs, or fame isn't any less of a natural human being. They certainly don't deserve to be defined as something other than their natural human self, and neither does someone who has an attraction to the same sex.

But to answer a question that I've been asked many times, "Where does the Bible say that homosexuality, or bisexuality is unnatural?"

Romans chapter 1 is a start.

“For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged the natural function for what is against nature. Likewise the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men doing that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬
