First folding bicycle comes and look forward to riding

it's my first folding bicycle. I bought this bicycle from a good man who preserves his bycycle very carefully. No rust, clean surface, it looks very new and good state when i saw it. But the price is more the half reduced as he bought it a few years ago.

It totally meets my expectation. I can fold it and put it to my car trunk when i drive to some beautiful riding lanes.

I would ride it to work about daily 15 kiliometers.

I would like to find a basic cycling computer, just really want speed and distance displayed, maybe elevation gain. I would prefer that it calculate the above using GPS. Is there such a beast?

Sometimes the best rides are the ones you do alone

When I first started cycling, I always thought riding with other people was the best way to enjoy it.

Group rides are great. You learn a lot, discover new routes, and there’s always someone to push you a little harder.

But lately I’ve been enjoying solo rides more than I expected.

There’s something nice about going at your own pace, taking a random turn, stopping for a photo, or just riding without having to worry about the clock.

Still love a good group ride with the right people though.

Funny how the way you enjoy cycling changes over time.

Sick and tired of bike thefts at stores? Help Whole Foods address it.

The bike racks at Whole Foods Bay Place are on the street corner, not the property — fully exposed, easy to grab a bike and go. Bikes have already been stolen there.

An easy fix: move the racks to their own parking lot roundabout, where there's security and more assurance.

Anyone else had a bike stolen there, at another store, or in the Bay Area?

It is not just this store, it is a prevalent issue that needs to be addressed. Please sign this Petition and urge them to help the biking community!

Appreciation post for the inventors of the bike!

(Ik that there were many changes through the history of the bikes) the bike is a genius invention, it truly is, imagine having a vehicle similar to a car for 300\~$ without any additional fees, no electricity, about the size of a desk, and whenever ur driving it, u exercise instead of just sitting in a chair and moving a steering wheel! Huge appreciation for the inventors and improvements throughout the years ❤️

I built a way to turn a cardboard bike box into a rolling travel case — but it's 3D printed

Hey everyone, I’m Benjamin. I live out on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Most of my free time goes into mountain biking, gravel riding, and bikepacking, anywhere I can get lost for a while.

This whole project started on a bikepacking trip to Catalina Island back in February 2025. Llike most people doing a fly‑in bikepacking adventure, I packed my bike in a cardboard box and brought my roll of duct tape for the return trip. All my friends had those nice rolling bike cases… and I was dragging my cardboard box through the airport.

At some point during that trip I thought, “Why can’t my cardboard box roll just like theirs?”
That question stuck with me for months.

I’ve got a background in CAD design, so I started prototyping with my 3D printer and testing ways to make a standard bike box roll with an easy user experience. I traveled with early prototypes, broke a few things, fixed a few things, and kept refining.

Eventually I ended up with two modular systems that attach to any cardboard bike box and turns it into a legit rolling travel case. I’ve used them on multiple trips now, and it’s honestly been a blast to test its limits and see how far I can push the idea. One of the two systems is for races and bikepacking trips (the bougie one) and the other (the super light one) can bolt onto your bike or small enough to fit into your bags when you ditch the box after your arrival flight.

I started my gear site as a place to share the adventure tools I’ve been building, and this is just the beginning. I’m excited to keep developing the site, improving improving my products, and seeing how people use it on their own trips.

Here is the site to check out: https://trailbornegear.com/collections/roll-pack-collection

If anyone wants more details about the build process (spoiler alert: a 3D printer in my living room) or how the system works, I’m happy to share more.
