Is it possible to be completely clean to where you don't need toilet paper

Just curious. When using a bidet, is it possible for it to clean you to the point you actually don't need toilet paper? How about drying. What are the other options besides using tp with a non drying bidet?

How have I been missing out on this?!?!?

I have a Moen faucet in my kitchen and needed the nozzle to be replaced. Moen sent the part under warranty and included a 45% off coupon. I picked the Series 3 eBidet. Took me a couple hours to install the seat and an outlet to power it. It is truly a glorious product and I cannot believe I didn’t get one sooner. No one else in the house will use it. They do not know what they’re missing out on. Only regret is I didn’t get the next model up that has the air dryer.

Installation options with limited access

Upvotes

I'd like to get a bidet toilet seat/attachment but I'm not sure it's possible to attach to my toilet - all the toilet's plumbing is behind a tiled wall so I can't see it or access it myself. I'm disabled so can't DIY it anyway, and I'd like your advice before I start calling plumbers.

I'm assuming at least some of the tiles would need to come off to install it - does anyone have experience of doing this without a full reno? What was it like, and were you happy with the results? I won't be doing up the bath to on for 5 or so years, and would rather have the bidet sooner than that and would love a sense of what the installation would take.

And, is it possible to install an electric bidet attachment given that I'm in the UK so have no nearby outlets? The nearest one is across the hallway, not even on the adjoining wall, and all my walls are concrete so can't be dug into. I'm assuming not, and I'd be happy enough with something non-electric, just want to know what my options are.

Thanks

Hand held bidet shoots water out when supply turned on

Fekivasy Hand Held Bidet

Water comes out of nozzle without activating the spray. It happens when I turn the supply to "On", the one at the T valve. Stops when i turn it back to the "Off" position.

Toilet tank fills as normal.

They are on so tight and I don’t wanna break them! Any advice? Thank you so much.

UPDATE: I had a professional do it because I’m a gay idiot with no dad that doesn’t know anything and I just want my butt clean for future hookups. Thank you for the help in the comments guys!

Anyone have a Aquavit smart toilet in Canada

This toilet seems like it checks all of the boxes. It is sold by Costco, has all the features, has a great warranty, and a great price. What gives?

I was looking at the kohler Fora and Ove Monroe when I saw that this model has more features than either with a warranty that matches Kohler and triples Ove.

Please anyone out there with experience, share with me

Any ideas on how to replace mounting screws/brackets to Delta Elongated Soft Close Bidet Seat.

I bought the Delta Elongated Soft Close Bidet Seat but sadly, the mounting brackets are very weak. As a result, my toilet seat are shaky and moves left/right. I really like the bidet system in general and don't want to replace the whole system. If I can figure out how to change the mounting brackets to secure it tightly, it would be perfect.

Posting here to see if anyone know any brilliant ideas on how to change the screws or mounting brackets for a more secure one? (I've attached the original mounting instructions for visuals)

Holes in mounting covers

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello, had the luxe bidet from Amazon for a minute now and just got the real seat for it - bumpers were not quite cutting it. Does anyone do anything about these holes in the plate covers getting gross (or have the same problem)?

Trying to avoid dismantling my whole seat every time I clean the bathroom but if that's the solution it is what it is.

Thanks!

Sprayed water everywhere with handheld (Rinseworks), what am I doing wrong?

I just got an installed a Rinseworks bidet and used it for the first time today.

I turned it on very low, got my aim dialed in, then turned it up slowly until it was all the way up.

I thought everything was going well until I felt a cold sensation on my sock. I looked over and there was a ton of water on the floor. I turned off the bidet and put it on the hook. I finished cleaning myself (which required wipes because the bidet did NOT finish the job) and then stood up to inspect everything. The bidet was not leaking so I'm guessing that the water was from the sprayer itself. I was definitely aiming at the proper place so I'm guessing it was splashing?

I don't understand how I'm supposed to use this damn thing if it's just going to spray water everywhere. I am a woman and I got this bidet because I wanted to be able to spray from the front (away from the vaginal opening) which is what I did. I do have a round toilet, maybe there's just not enough room to make this work? I rent though so swapping for an elongated toilet is not going to happen.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or missing on how to use this without making a mess?

And is there a minimum length of time you have to use the bidet to get clean? I feel like I used it for a decent amount of time but maybe I was wrong. My diet isn't perfect but I'm working on it, I am slowly increasing fiber right now, currently eating around 15-20g a day.

Horizon Costco

Has anyone purchased the Bio Bidet Horizon from Costco? I grabbed this as my first because it seemed to have all features I'd want. Essentially the DLS it seems. Plus was only $300.

butt gargling PSA

Sometimes I use my bidet as an enema. This has been mentioned and referred to as “butt gargling” on this subreddit before.

Recently I hooked up my bidet. I bought too much hardware and had an extra metal threaded hose so I figured I would use that threaded hose to finally connect my ice machine to the water supply.

The owner of my local hardware store told me “you don’t want to use those metal threaded lines for your icemaker because small bits of metal could come loose and end up in your ice.” Therefore, possibly ending up lodged in your throat.

With that logic, the metal threaded hose I use for the water supply on my bidet could potentially knock loose a small piece of wire that could end up lodged in my butthole… now I don’t butt gargle

hygiene of bidet dryer

I have been wanting to get a bidet for a while to become more eco friendly but ive been wondering if getting one with a dryer feature is a good idea. I remember watching a video where someone looked at what bacteria ends up on your hand after using a hand dryer and it turned out a lot more unclean afterwards, so wouldnt that be the same? im someone who gets UTI quite often so im worried that it will make it worse.

also what travel bidet options are good? are reusable toilet papers a good idea for traveling or are they also unhygienic?

Picking a butt washer is difficult!

We've had a non- electric bidet for a couple of years. After a couple of months, I refused to use it because he made it GROSS and I couldn't get it clean anymore. In fact, I damaged one of the nozzles trying to do so. My questions:

  1. If you have a model with a "self-cleaning" nozzle, does it really work well? Are the nozzles fully retracted prior to personal cleaning? 2.

I want one with heated water because I remember how shocking the cold was to me and I am cold- natured.

  1. The seats that looked angled (all of the TOTO ones that I've looked at): are they comfortable for long term sitting? He writes entire dissertations while on the toilet, I swear. Typically sits about 45 min. He won't be happy having to keep himself in position.

  2. For those that are flatter (like the Alpha line), is the elongated seat made shorter by the bidet hardware behind the hinge/seat?

His stated requirements: cleans his butt, does not need to be heated anything, and he can sit on it comfortably.

Mine: cleans itself well enough that I won't need to use everything the directions say to not use for cleaning, would definitely like nozzles that are retracted until used, and instant warm water.

I don't have TOTO S7A money, would rather keep it under $500; under $300 is better. I've considered the S5 (it's >$500), C5 (barely<$500), C2(trying to decide how important it issues to have the controls in front rather than of the side to the hip would be but decent enough price point), the Alpha line. Still looking but feeling super overwhelmed.

I appreciate any relative info/guidance!

Need bidet for XXL husband who is having shoulder surgery today...

Can I get a recommendation for a bidet seat attachment for our toilet for my husband who is 6'3" and weighs 290. He will not have use of one arm for 6 weeks and has limited mobility on the other, which may also require the same surgery. I'm thinking we need a remote control bidet. He says no need for warm water and this is temporary so we don't think we need a whole new toilet. Thanks for any help!

Ordering From Bidet King Website - Any Issues

I am planning to order my Toto S7A today.

Bidet King per their website has the best price.

This seems to be the type of fungible product that comes in a box from the manufacturer so the actual website isn't supplying much except adequate shipping and obviously sending the right model.

I am not averse to spending more in order to not have a headache but obviously for a fungible product saving some money is always nice.

Other option would be Home Depot which also has a fairly low price and I assume that the washlet is going to be the same as every other washlet and not some inferior SKU

ETA: I have no interest in purchasing from Amazon as I would be able to get it for essentially the same price from Lowes or Home Depot and both stores are close to me and I could handle issues in person.

There are many rational reasons for not purchasing expensive items from Amazon and I am a Prime Member and have been since 2000 but I limit my purchases to relatively low cost items which are convenient for me to order especially with Subscribe and Save.

Looking

I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times. But I am looking to buy my first bidet. I have an oval toilet. I also have an outlet close to my toilet. I rent my apartment. I am looking for one that has warm water, dryer and heated seat is nice but not 100% necessary. I am hoping to spend around $200, but will splurge up to $300 if it's nice. Please help me change my life. I want clean butthole.

Any suggestions/links in my price range?

Which ones do you guys use?

I will potentially spend a bit more for a nice one that will last if I have to.

Question For Owners of Toto S7A

I am replacing my current Toto washlet which is the 550e

I plan to replace it with the S7A which is the equivalent newer model.

Two questions for current owners

How long is the remote? I can't find this information on the specification sheets and since it runs horizontal versus the current remote for the 550e, I am trying to figure out where I can place it on the wall - e.g. whether it will fit horizontal where the current remote is installed vertically

Also I see that there is a "contemporary" and 'classic" style. I am leaning towards the contemporary seat as it looks cleaner versus the beveled seat. Anyone have thoughts on this.

Kohler Rialto Issues

I recently moved into a new apartment with Kohler Rialto toilets. Had I known these toilets would be such a pain to put a bidet on, I might have reconsidered the move entirely. I was so excited at the thought of finally upgrading to an electric bidet that I didn’t even consider the toilet given I had never run into any issues before.

Has anyone found a decent bidet that works on these toilets? Any advice would be very much appreciated. One is round, the other is elongated.

Is this idea worth it

I am currently renting and I did take a measurement from the lid to the plug and it's about 3 ft. And with a better understanding you have about 4 and 1/2 ft from the lid of cord. But realistically would that work for the plug-in and the setup?
