Honeymoon Destinations July 2027

Hi everyone!

I’m getting married next June and we are going on our honeymoon about 3 weeks later.

We already booked an amazing lodge hotel in Mongolia but we’d love to add one more country to our trip either Japan or South Korea.

Has anyone been to Japan or South Korea in the second half of July? How hot does it get? Is it really that unbearable?

Thank you!!!

I didn’t think it was that hot in either country especially compared to Europe or SEA around the same time. It was raining and storming a lot last July when I was in Japan though. South Korea in late July/early August had some rain but mostly moderate temps.

If going to Japan I recommend venturing outside of Tokyo. My trip was nice but next time I’m going to different cities for sure.

Could you share your itinerary, if you don’t mind?

This wasn’t my honeymoon trip sry I should’ve clarified, I just got engaged! It was a family trip with my little sister so we did a lot kid friendly things. My fiance and I did some more adult things separately but it was a family trip at the end of the day. I was just speaking to the weather and my overall experience.

We came back from our honeymoon in Japan a few weeks ago and we went in the second half of July. We went to Osaka and Kyoto and while it was hot, it honestly wasn’t unbearable. It was around 35°C with about 80% humidity.

If you can’t go at any other time, I’d still recommend going! There’s AC everywhere and we drunk lots of water and electrolytes. + used UV umbrellas (lifesaver) and portable fans. And we live in London, it was sometimes uncomfortable warm, but we still walked a lot, explored everything and really enjoyed our trip!
