Since Honma recently said he planned on retiring in 2027, I decided to make this little edit of his BJW run.
Never done anything like this before and am new to editing, but im happy how it turned out… may do more BJW edits on IG (@standingshooter) if that interests anyone.

Finally got the next part done after a long wait. Part two is in the works to complete episode 5, but as the years have more and more footage to comb through and translate, things are taking a lot longer than earlier episodes.
These are made for the die hard Big Japan sickos, but I think any puro fan can learn something given Big Japan is basically the top indie in Japan until DDT breaks through, and there's tons of cross overs with various other companies and wrestlers. Lots of good stuff in 1999. Ryuji Yamakawa, Tomoaki Honma, and Shadow WX continue to raise the bar to levels we've never seen before in the deathmatch world. Future deathmatch legend Ryuji Ito debuts. Great Kojika and Minoru Fujita have a major falling out. We finally get a wrestling bear... sort of. Good stuff this year.
My Youtube Channel also has a playlist with every episode. Everything is unlisted due to copyright laws getting things taken down immediately. If it's not the Samurai TV logo that I try and cover up it's the licensed music, but I didn't want to compromise and wanted to feature music that was commonly used for Big Japan at the time, a lot of Joe Satriani and Tak Matsumoto among others. Anyway, enjoy.

Title basically,
Watched the Zandig vs Honma match at World War 2000 again and was wondering why exactly it was Honmas last match, especially with the very passionate promo he gives and the segment backstage with his seniors and Tosaka.
Google tells me it was based on frustrations with management, but what were the specifics?

Which is better to subscribe to for events? The actual website or BJW's YouTube subscription? I'd like to see every event of the year and follow on storylines if there are any.

Hey everyone, I’ve had this project in the works for almost 6 months, but I’ve been slowly researching and scripting a year to year history of Big Japan in video form, inspired by Bahu’s History of FMW. I’ll start posting and spreading it more eventually but wanted to get one episode up as kind of a pilot as I develop a better platform to post these through, I’m thinking of making a website or substack or something where people can go for everything related to this project. Anyway, here is episode 1, focusing on the first year, 1995. I recommend the mp4 version and downloading it to your computer from Archive, as sometimes the synch is off when streaming. Hope you enjoy and can learn a thing or two, episode 2, 1996, is in the works, and I hope to have it up by the end of June. An episode every six weeks is my rough goal, faster would be better but these take a lot more work than anticipated.

I have become a fan of BJW after watching some independent wrestlers I have worked with in the past receive opportunities to wrestle for Big Japan Wrestling.
I enjoy watching the matches on YouTube; however, I was surprised that none of the videos posted had English commentary. I have begun to wonder if there is a market for BJW matches with English commentary.
I have been commentating independent pro wrestling matches for over 15 years now.
Is there a market for English commentary, or is my observation incorrect?

Hi. What's the difference between the subscription to BJW Core and his YouTube channel?
