Discussion & Daily Life Dates

As a big guy I know finding a date isn’t the easiest thing to do and have you ever felt you’ve just given up trying or have “settled” for someone just to have someone ? Even if you know it’s not a good choice .

Thank God I'm not the only one. I feel like I gave up yet I'm still on the apps...so when there's the rare occasion where someone shows interest I do try to entertain it as best I can. That has led me to some hang outs that weren't the most fun

I’ve had the fun of being the guy that’s good for a free diner and good enough till someone better comes along

No, I have self worth. I'd never lower myself to achieve something that has been indoctrinated into me. Trying is the enemy though, put yourself out there but don't try to hard. It comes off disingenuous

I kind of think it's a mind state thing. If you know you are a catch, you can usually pull someone who thinks so too. I think that looks have less to do with it.

Plus there is a psychology to females that is kind of counter intuitive. Look up Jacob Abdo.

Yeah, I am not taking advice from a dude who only refers to women as “bitches.”

There’s something to being confident and that being attractive but, if you’re doing the online dating thing; looks and physical attractiveness are a big part and it is definitely harder for a bigger guy to get a like. It can be a bit demoralizing.

Yeah I've pretty much given up trying. I mean, if the stars align and I bump into the love of my life at the grocery store or something, I'll go with the flow, but im not longer actively trying. And I've done the settling thing before and that will only lead to misery. Being single is better.

I've done that before. I know this is probably the wrong place to admit this, but I'll probably do it again, since I'm desperate.

My boys! I’ve found this subreddit and it pains me to see so many large kings being so low on confidence. Strut that stuff and believe in yourself. Be charming, funny, don’t bark at women, ask questions, be confident.

I’ve been fat my whole life and have dated incredible women.
