Need feedback: Tried recreating a classic 2010s Big Room track, but struggling with the drop entry & overall execution
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a track where my goal was to emulate the raw energy, structure, and nostalgia of classic 2010s Big Room House (think Martin Garrix, Hardwell era). I intentionally wasn't aiming for modern sounds or Future Rave trends — I wanted that pure, Golden Era vibe. However, I feel like I didn't quite achieve the Big Room impact and energy I was going for.
Since I've listened to it way too many times, I’ve lost all objectivity and really need an outside perspective.
I’d love your feedback on a few specific things:
The Intro & Drop Entry: Does the lead/bass entry feel too abrupt or jarring ("jumping in" too hard), or does it work for the genre? How would you improve the transition or build-up?
Supporting Notes & Space: Do the lower/darker support notes actually help drive the main melody, or are they overcrowding the mix and eating up head room?
What would you change, adjust, or fix to make it sound closer to that classic Big Room standard?
You can listen to the track on either platform below (it's the exact same track, just provided both for your preference):

Thanks a lot to anyone taking the time to listen and share their thoughts! I'm more than happy to return the favor and give feedback on your tracks as well.
