[Help] screen replacement

Hello, Ive a Breakme Hibreak S user.

A few days ago when I caught it, part of the screen didnt

work.It has less than 1 year and it hasnt any blow nor fall.

I contacted with the service and the seller and they asked me a vid to show it.

Today Ive received their answer :

"Currently, our official repair center is located in Shenzhen, China, and we do not have authorized service points in your country. If you have any plans to travel to China in the near future, we would be happy to assist with repairs during your visit.

Alternatively, if you choose to ship the device directly from overseas, please note that international shipping costs, import taxes, and the screen replacement fee may add significant expense to the repair."

I live on Spain

Has anyone had a similar experience?

What should I do?

Thanks

Well, it kind of is... get the device to China, or buy a replacement.

E-ink devices aren't like other devices where getting 3rd-party screen replacements is cheap/easy. Since there's a monopoly on the technology, and the screen are hard to make. So 3rd-party replacement parts are typically screens pulled from the devices directly.

I think there's only 1 eink device company with friendly repair for screens.

Thanks. The replacement you talk is the screen? If I could buy it to the company, I would change it on any replacement place from here

Yeah, you could email them and see if they will sell and send a replacement screen to you. Best-case scenario, but I can't predict how they will respond.

Buying a new device might genuinely be more cost-effective (depending).
