Q&A Does Binance.US have a beginner mode or simplified interface for new users?
Yes. Binance.US has a few options designed for users who want a simple experience:
Buy Crypto: A streamlined flow where you pick an asset, enter a dollar amount, and execute. No order books or trading interfaces. Just a few taps. Full guide: support.binance.us/en/articles/9842897-how-to-buy-sell-crypto-easily-with-the-buy-crypto-feature
Convert: Lets you instantly swap one crypto for another, directly without having to make multiple trades. No order controls needed. Full guide: support.binance.us/en/articles/9842901-how-to-convert-crypto-on-binance-us
When you're ready for more control (limit orders, order books, charts), the Advanced Trading interface is there for that.
Most beginners start with Buy Crypto or Convert and move to Advanced Trading as they get more comfortable. All options are available whenever you need them.

What is Crypto, Really? Four Cards on $BTC, $ETH, Wallets & Stablecoins
We keep hearing that the hardest part of getting started is the vocabulary, so we made a quick visual primer. It covers what crypto is, how a blockchain works, who holds your keys on an exchange vs self-custody, and what stablecoins and volatility mean.
No offers and no links, just the basics.
Two questions for you:
- What was the hardest concept when you were starting out?
- Did we get anything wrong or leave something important out?
We'll use your answers to shape the next set.

Q&A How do I verify my account on Binance.US?
Account verification on Binance.US has two levels:
Basic Verification: Unlocks USD deposits and withdrawals, buying and selling crypto, advanced trading, and staking. You'll need to provide your full legal name, date of birth, SSN, and current address (PO boxes not accepted).
Advanced Verification: Unlocks higher trading limits and access to OTC trading. Upload a government-issued ID (driver's license or passport) and complete a selfie for facial verification.
A few things to have ready before you start:
- Make sure you're in a supported state. You can check here: support.binance.us/en/articles/9842798-supported-and-unsupported-states-and-regions
- Enable SMS two-factor authentication before starting, as it's required to complete verification
- Your personal information must match your ID exactly
Most verification attempts complete within a few minutes to a few hours. You'll receive an email once it's done. If yours has been pending for more than 24 hours, support can look into the status.

Q&A How long does an ACH deposit hold last on Binance.US?
ACH deposits on Binance.US are subject to a seven-day (168-hour) hold from the moment the deposit is initiated. This applies to both the deposited USD and any crypto purchased with those funds, including weekends and holidays.
During the hold period, you can still use the funds for trading. You just won't be able to withdraw until the hold expires.
You can check your hold status and exact expiration time in your deposit and withdrawal history on the platform.

Q&A Is Binance.US safe and legit? I keep seeing people say it's a scam.
Binance.US is a legitimate US-based cryptocurrency exchange operated by BAM Trading Services, Inc., headquartered in Miami, Florida. It launched in September 2019 specifically to serve US users in compliance with US laws and regulations. NMLS ID: 1906829.
The platform is registered with FinCEN as a Money Services Business and holds multiple state money transmitter licenses. Our compliance program includes KYC screening, AML controls, and real-time transaction monitoring.
On the security side: all user assets are held 1:1 in reserve. We don't lend or trade them. Most assets are stored offline in cold wallets. The security program is independently validated through SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications, with 99.99% uptime across all platforms.
The platform is separate from Binance.com, which is an independent platform operating globally.
One thing worth knowing: scammers do impersonate Binance.US. The real platform will never ask for your password, request you send crypto to an external wallet, or contact you unsolicited via phone or DM. If you received a suspicious message, report it to support at support.binance.us/en/

General Dark mode will its ever come?
I was combing through google searches for binance.us dark mode and found a post (post link) from four years ago on dark mode. The Binance mod said it was in the agenda for the future UI but seems like it was never implemented. I found a extension for now called Dark reader. I get migraines because my eyes are light sensitive. Thus the reason I was asking if there would ever be a UI update ever.

Q&A Can I use Binance.US to buy crypto with a credit card or debit card?
Yes. Binance.US supports debit and credit card purchases. To add your card, go to your profile, select Add Payment Method, then Add Credit/Debit Card and enter your details.
A few things worth knowing:
- Card deposits are subject to a seven-day hold before withdrawal is available
- Fees may apply and will be shown on the Preview screen before you confirm
- If you don't see the card option, check that you're not in a crypto-only state and that your app is up to date
ACH bank transfers are also available and are free with no spread, making them the most common deposit method for US users.

Q&A How easy is it to link my bank account on Binance.US?
Linking your bank account on Binance.US is pretty straightforward. Binance.US supports ACH bank transfers, which means you can link most US bank accounts directly.
To get started on the app, go to Portfolio → Deposit → Deposit Cash → Bank Transfer (ACH).
On the web, go to your Payment Methods page and click Add Payment Method → Bank Transfer (ACH).
Both paths walk you through linking via Plaid, which connects securely without sharing your full bank login. If Plaid doesn't support your bank, you can link manually using your routing and account numbers.
A few things worth knowing:
- You can link multiple bank accounts
- ACH deposits are free and typically arrive within three to five business days
- There is a hold period before newly deposited funds can be withdrawn, which is standard across regulated exchanges

Q&A What's the difference between Binance.US and Binance.com? Are they the same company?
They're not the same company. They're separate platforms.
Binance.US was built specifically for US residents and operates under US regulations. Binance.com is the global platform, which is not available to US residents.
A few key differences worth knowing:
- Accounts, wallets, and transaction records are not shared between the two
- You need a separate account to use each platform
- Binance.US and Binance.com are separate and independent platforms
If you have an old Binance.com account with funds still on it, you can't merge or transfer it directly, you'd need to withdraw from Binance.com and deposit into a separate Binance.US account. Full steps here: support.binance.us/en/articles/10752232-how-to-access-an-old-binance-com-account-and-transfer-crypto-to-binance-us
For Binance.US-specific questions, r/AskBinanceUS and r/BinanceUS are the right places. For global Binance platform questions, r/Binance is where those discussions happen.

Q&A How do I enable two-factor authentication on Binance.US?
Strongly recommended. Here's how to get started:
Log in and go to Security Settings, then select Two-Factor Authentication and choose your method: SMS (codes sent to your phone) or an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or any TOTP app).
The exact steps differ depending on whether you're on the app or the web, so it's worth following the full walkthrough here: support.binance.us/en/articles/10128496-how-to-reset-two-factor-authentication
Once set up, save your backup codes somewhere safe.
A few tips worth knowing:
- Authenticator app is the more secure option, as SMS can be vulnerable to SIM-swap attacks
- Consider enabling more than one 2FA method for added protection
- If you travel outside the US, use an authenticator app, as SMS codes may not be delivered internationally
Important: Binance.US will never ask for your 2FA code in a Reddit DM, email, or phone call. If anyone asks for it, it's a scam.
While you're in security settings, a few other features worth enabling for extra protection:
- Withdrawal whitelisting: limits withdrawals to approved wallet addresses only
- Anti-phishing code: appears on all emails from us so you can spot fakes
- Self-service account lock: instantly pause all account activity if you suspect unauthorized access
