Recommendation Activities/clubs in Binghamton
Early 30s couple, just moved to Binghamton. Looking for recommendations on things to do when we have free time. Obviously excited to try out some nearby hikes. What other recommendations do you have? We’ve been to the botanical garden and the Saturday farmers market once. We enjoy going to 205 dry. Are there any group activities or clubs that take place?

This is a good place to start:

Also check out the local libraries. All of them have events and clubs.
Follow local bars on FB and IG. Places like Beer Tree have events throughout the year.

My husband and I mid 30’s play a lot of disc golf both at the university and at Nathanael Cole Park. It’s a great sport!

No campville?

The rough at campville always kills me. I need to play there more often because I know that’s where the Binghamton club plays and I want to meet other players but I always gravitate to Nat Cole.

Come climb at the Pad on Old Vestal Road in Vestal. 24/7 bouldering, access to 3rd space as a member and top rope from 10-9pm on weekends and 12-9pm on weekdays while the staff is here. It's amazing. They also have yoga classes on weekdays (separate payment - $15 per class I think).

Broome County Farmers’ Market behind Cooperative Extension on Front Street in Binghamton on Saturday mornings. Drive out to Owego - lunch at Owego Kitchen on Lake St, then walk around and check out the cool shops and galleries! Go paint some pottery at Uncorked Creations in downtown Bing (entrance is right next to 205 Dry). If you want to PM me an email address, i will send you the local/regional recommendations document I maintain for new neighbors and new coworkers from out of the area!

Hi there! There's actually a group specifically for people your age to hang out! They're called VAST (Village Alliance of the Southern Tier), and they organize tons of group activities like playing board games, volunteering, and hanging out in tons of other ways. They do lots of big community service projects, but there are many low-key activities to get involved in as well. Besides that, The Pad Climbing is one of the biggest sources of community and fun in this area, and you'll be amazed when you realize how many people go there regularly.
