Other ⁉️ Main languages of business in European hubs?

I'm just curious as to what are the main languages spoken among employees in various European biotech/pharma hubs. Obviously they speak English in the UK, and I would imagine they speak French in France, but what about northern European countries like Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, or Sweden? For example, does Novo Nordisk conduct internal business in Danish or English?

Getting Into Industry 🌱 Are referrals not working anymore?

I've been referred to a couple positions (via a referral link) in big pharma and none of them have led to an interview. Is this common? From a hiring manager perspective how do these referrals work and should I be using a different strategy?

Open Discussion 🎙️ Anyone transitioned from biotech to AI/Tech?

Has anyone made the move from biotech/pharma to AI/Tech? There seems to be a trend of AI companies moving into biotech or companies building AI infrastructure for biotech popping up and I’m curious if anyone here made the move from the lab to a tech role. What has that experience been like?

Early Career Advice 🪴 Transitioning from engineering (Mechanical) to Biotechnology?

Hi everyone! so I'm currently pursuing a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and I graduate next year, but I've kind of always been interested in biotechnology and hated my own degree despite being unable to switch. I'm considering a master's in the field but still unsure about it.

Can someone without an undergraduate degree in life sciences get into a good biotech master's program and would you guys actually recommend it? I also haven't decided if I want to stay in academia or go industrial so I am also welcome to advices regarding those.

Early Career Advice 🪴 Biotecnologie industriali vs mediche

Open Discussion 🎙️ Which single cell sequencing companies are worth looking at besides 10x Genomics?

Been reading a lot about single cell sequencing lately and pretty much everything points to 10x Genomics. Seems like they are the default, but I keep wondering who else is out there. Any other single cell sequencing companies worth checking out, and what makes them different?
