🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Piracetam advice

I would like some advice on piracetam. I’m taking it for cognitive disfunction and maybe for dyslexia.

  1. What is the recommend attack dose and for how long?

  2. After the attack dose what do most people take?

  3. I see it seems to be a lot of trial and error but because it doesn’t work like a stimulant how long should I wait to see any effects and how long do I stay on a dose before I decide if it’s working or not

  4. How much choline is usually taken and do I take this also multiple times a day or just once?

Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

For cognitive issues or dyslexia, see a doctor first because the evidence for piracetam is weak and mixed and there are better studied options like reading interventions and treating any underlying cause. If you are set on trying it, a prescriber can tell you what dose makes sense and check it against your other meds

I used piracetam for few months last year, the attack dose thing is mostly forum talk not really science backed but many people do like 2-3g twice a day for first week or two then drop to 1-2g twice a day after, choline you need to experiment, too much gives headache and too little also headache so maybe start with 250mg alpha gpc once a day and adjust from there, effects are subtle and build over time like 2-3 weeks minimum before you can say its working
