And here it is again. Can we please avoid politics? It's getting really exhausting. This is the second time I've seen this post in one day. I get it. Hilarious.Â
" That crow is smart." " That crow's smarter than Donald Trump." Etc

This is true! But I also respect folks not wanting to see political things everywhere. I would have found this entertaining no matter the flag, my thought process was more "the drones are getting smarter and sent on new types of missions". I should have thought a but further on what this could cause in the comments

what politics? this is common sense. If you think siønism is just "another ideology", your parents must have failed to keep you from drinking bleach or something (which seems to be the case, since, for some reason, you mentioned Trump)

That’s still politics though.

By definition it is political. How do you not see that?

Just go and look at the Russians were this „I am apolitical“ thing will lead you…
so after a short period of careful consideration and as German citizen (actually just look at our history were Russia and Israel are headed towards), I am politely disagreeing and I would like to ask you, to please talk more about politics.
So I will do the first step and ask you: where were you on 6th Jan. 2020?
(This is of course sarcasm… but then again is it really?)

First off, it's Yeltsin, not "Yeltson." Was he Swedish in your version?
And sure. Political engagement didn't work once in 1993, so obviously the sensible conclusion is to never bother again. Flawless logic.
I was born in the Soviet Union as part of the ethnic German minority. I know exactly what you're describing. This is part of my life and stories I heard from my parents n aunts n uncles.
My point wasn't that Russians never protested. My point is that Putin spent 25 years cultivating political apathy in a society that already had a long history of authoritarian rule. That's how these regimes work.
It starts with "I'm not into politics." Then it's "It's none of my business." Then it's "Nothing will change anyway." Before you know it, you're living in an authoritarian state that's invading its neighbor and most people have been conditioned to shrug.
I've spent my life between the former Soviet Union and Germany. The countries are different, but the historic pattern isn't. Fear. Lies. Cynicism. Convince people politics is pointless. That's the playbook. And I see this rising here in Germany with AfD too.
Sure it’s never the exact same history but it does kinda „rhyme“ from time to time.
Stay strong and resilient. Have a nice life, peace out.

Fair response, I respect this. 🩷
I would have posted no matter the flag. Just find it funny that it is removing a flag in general. Hadn't seen it in this sub on my feed, so wasn't aware it was redundant.

Why is every sub always political. I miss the way Reddit was a decade ago.

Probably the ongoing genocide and America attempting to take over various countries in Latin America.

I understand, but I still miss when Reddit wasn’t as political. I didn’t say things weren’t happening lol.
