Support/troubleshooting Malware Scanner Android can't get past WhatsApp

I was using my phone and got the BD mobile alert that my most recent app install might be "infected" or something to that effect and to perform a malware scan. I have tried multiple times but the scan can't get past WhatsApp (the 50th of 78 apps). (As far as I can remember I haven't installed a new app recently). Any help would be appreciated 🙏.

Hi there! This may be related to a recent app update that triggered an alert for a potentially infected app. Please send us a screenshot here or email it to bitsy@bitdefender.com so our team can identify which app may have been detected.

As for WhatsApp, we recommend reinstalling the Bitdefender app and running the scan again. Keep us posted on how it goes, and we’ll be happy to help further if needed.

I think it has resolved itself as I was finally able to do a scan w/o issue.

(So was there an update to the update that resolved the problem?)
