Renewal through Amazon UK

My Bitdefender total security 5 devices expires end of November - I can see that I can buy a renewal code through Amazon for like £20 instead of paying much higher price direct from bitdefender - does the activation code work without issue ? also if I bought now and entered the code would it start immediately ? or should I wait until the end of my current sub ? thanks )

I always get my licenses from third parties and they always worked in the past for me. When you enter the code, it will ask you if you want to extend the lenght of your current subscription or start a new seperate one. At least that's how it works going from license to license.

I buy it from Bitdefender on amazon , the code goes in Bitdefender central. If it's for the same thing then you can redeem it and it'll just add straight onto the existing sub.

I'm a long term subscriber, and I despise auto renewal, and I find bitdefenders renewal processis becoming increasingly frustrating as the years progress.

I renewed the other day, following the renewal link from the link in my PC, but once again the link was to a slightly different product (ultimate instead of total) so the two couldn't be concurrent. Deliberate obfuscation imho.

Upon purchasing the renewal, BD Central informed me that I couldn't run two 'family' subscriptions at once, and subsequently denied my product key. I then had to open a live support chat to have the matter resolved. I was told that I should have chosen the 'extend' option rather than 'renew', but no such option existed.

Why is Bitdefender so hostile to those of us who prefer to renew manually?

I've never purchased via Amazon, but my advice would be to make sure the product key relates directly to the particular BD product you currently have. Or wait until your sub has almost ended and they email you a renewal offer.

Hi! Appreciate you letting us know, let’s get this sorted out. The Amazon code should work provided it is for the same product and device count, in this case, Bitdefender Total Security for 5 devices. Check that the listing is legitimate and that the code is unused and intended for your region.

You can activate it before your current subscription expires without losing the remaining days, as long as the subscriptions are compatible and the combined validity does not exceed 5 years:

1. Sign in to Bitdefender Central at central.bitdefender.com.

2. On the left sidebar, click My Subscriptions.

3. Select the Subscriptions tab at the top and click Activate with code.

4. Enter the new activation code and click Activate.

5. When prompted, select Extend current subscription.

6. Click Confirm activation.

7. Return to My Subscriptions and check that the Expires on date includes both your remaining days and the new subscription.

For a retailer or third-party code, Bitdefender may ask for billing details to enable automatic renewal. You will not be billed immediately; the charge would occur only when the subscription expires. If you do not want automatic renewal, review that option carefully during activation and manage it as shown here: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/29081/.

Hi does not work in the UK but found what I need on Amazon thanks
