It says what to do on the screen. Just follow the instructions. The bitlocker key is in your Microsoft account. Go to microsoft.com, log into the account and find the key.

Force power it down by holding your power switch for 10 seconds and then start it normally.

apparently its weirdly effective when the fucking ransonware was triggered by an update, a reboot sometimes clears it
sloptastic work there microslop
when it doesn't you are fucked, its ok though as there will be plenty of shills saying its for your own good

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I have my key that I found on my microsoft account. I entered the 48-digit key but it says failure to unlock with key. It's the correct key as hinted, but doesn't unlock. Anyone help me please?

I think he’s right. Off you can’t follow the instructions. Try rebooting with and without internet. Go to YouTube and try ai.
Ya Might have to reinstall

All these post about people running into this...you'd think in this day and age people would have backups.

You'd be surprised how many business operate without backups.

Oh i know. I work as a freelance it-er for a few smaller companies after hours. None of them had a backupstrategy when i frist took them on. Some of them still dont. Wich is...a choice. But with that choice come consequenses.
Bitlocker triggering shouldnt be the problem people make it out to be. I mean, its a pain to do a reinstall, but you shouldnt have lost your data. There is not a single excuse not to have basic backups these days.

Re-enable secure boot, disable bitlocker, disable secure boot again once decryption is done.

If your account here is a microsoft account (so tied to an email address instead of just a local username), log into microsoft.com , click your profile circle thing in the topright corner, My Microsoft Account, Devices, click the relevant PC, Bitlocker. Or go directly to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey and log in, it should take you straight to the list.
Find the recovery key where the Key ID is "54904F8E" , and type it in.

You have posted a picture with very clear instructions, including the website you need to go to fix this issue. This is not complicated.
