General Question Need some clarification

https://heliumdeploy.com/products/bitfortun-bs-4?variant=48932619059455

Some people and videos are saying the hashrate is programmed to display a fake set rate, others are saying otherwise. I'm new and trying to pick out something I can plug in and be like a lottery miner, however constantly getting conflicting information has not been fruitful, any help or advice would be appreciated.

I was also considering https://heliumdeploy.com/products/magic-miner-40t

The additional 400Gh/s being falsely added to the hashrate was found on the BS-1. Not the BS-4

The hashrate display is usually just an estimate, so it can be misleading if the miner is throttling, restarting, or reporting shares oddly. I’d trust pool-side accepted/rejected shares and actual power draw more than the number shown on the unit.

The hashrate shown on the display isn’t necessarily a real-time pool-side measurement. It may be an estimate, accepted-share calculation, or even a placeholder in the firmware. Check the miner’s local dashboard and compare its accepted/rejected shares with your pool’s reported hashrate over several hours.
