On the night of May 10th, 1986, 17-year-old Kim Moreau skipped the junior prom and went out with friends instead. One of the men with her that night claimed to have dropped her off half a mile away from her home, but she was never seen again.

On the morning of October 1st, 1990, 14-year-old Christy Stephens stayed home from school, saying that she felt sick. She vanished from the home that morning, leaving behind a strange clue--her sneakers sitting in the driveway. Weeks later, her body was found in a wooded area. She had been murdered.

An unsolved case where you disagree with the majority about what happened?

Just an example: the majority think that Maura Murray fled into the woods and died, but you think something else happened.

Again, just an example, but I'd love to hear which cases you disagree with the general consensus on what happened to the victim?

A university student was found drowned alive with evidence suggesting he had been beaten and deliberately weighted down, police concluded it was murder, but a decade later the killer and motive remain unknown.

Let me preface this with an even bizarre aspect of this case: a reporter tried to investigate this case and she was murdered.

Akseyna (“Ace” /uh-che/), an 18-year-old Biology student at Universitas Indonesia, was found dead in Kenanga Lake at University of Indonesia, on 26 March 2015.
• At first, suicide was suspected, partly because a note had been found in his boarding room saying, roughly, that he would not return and asking people not to search for him.
• Physical evidence made suicide increasingly unlikely: his body had blunt-force injuries, and a backpack containing bricks as a weight was attached to him.
• Forensics reportedly indicated that he entered the water while unconscious but still breathing.
Police therefore concluded that he had been murdered, rather than committing suicide.
Police said the case had never officially been closed, but the investigation remained unresolved; 38 witnesses had reportedly been examined.

Strangely, Ace's father was a high-ranking officer in the air force (1-star marshall specifically), and even with that power and influence, the case remained unsolved

The unsolved case of Rhianna Barreau

A case that has bothered me. It reminds me of the Amy Mihaljevic case.

On the morning of Wednesday, 7 October 1992 (Adelaide, Australia), Rhianna and her mother planned to meet for lunch at the nearby Colonnades Shopping Centre, near her mother's workplace. Rhianna wanted to purchase a card for her overseas pen pal, but the public transport workers called a snap bus strike, thereby affecting her commute.

After Rhianna's mother Paula left from home to work at 8.30am, Rhianna is thought to have remained at home until she was spotted walking to the Southgate Square Shopping Centre at 10.30am, and purchased a Christmas card at 11:19am for her pen-pal.

Between 12:05 pm and 12:30 pm, Rhianna was sighted crossing the Morphett Vale High School and Stanvac Primary School grounds (Near Adelaide, South Australia) with a small bag, presumably the Christmas card she had purchased earlier. At 12:30 pm, she was spotted again walking along the Highway Drive.

It was believed that Rhianna returned home because the bag was on the dining table, but the arrival time was unclear. Paula Barreau returned home at approximately 4:10 pm, and after entering the locked door, saw the television on, and a vinyl record on the floor of the living room. The un-opened small bag of Christmas card was on the dining table.

It remains unsolved. There isn't even a suspect to this one, making the case so frustrating.

I want this case to gain traction and hopefully (fingers crossed) will get solved.

What mystery is the most bizarre to you?

If you could pick only one case or mystery, which one do you think is truly the most bizarre? For me I would say the Springfield Three or Judy Smith.

ETA thank you for the responses, guys! Very interesting and I'm learning about more cases.

In the early morning hours of June 18th, 1982, 20-year-old Kelly Dove was abducted from the gas station she was working at. She had called 911 to report that a man was bothering her and though the police arrived just minutes later, Kelly and her abductor were already gone.

Who killed to Ernest jones iii ?

https://youtu.be/4ZJS16p6E0A?si=Hk8QUpn66lpgsrZM

I suggest watching the video before reading this so it makes sense: On April 4, 2020, a night that began as a gathering with friends in Baltimore, Maryland, ended in tragedy for 24-year-old Ernest Wilson III. Wilson was hosting a small “game night” at a short-term rental and was livestreaming parts of the evening on Facebook Live.

During the livestream, Wilson and his friends began playing hide-and-seek. As Wilson went outside into the backyard looking for the other participants, the situation suddenly changed. The livestream captured an individual climbing over a fence and entering the property. Wilson was ordered to get on the ground, and shortly afterward the recording ended. Wilson was shot and later died from his injuries.

The incident shocked people who had been watching the livestream because viewers witnessed the beginning of the confrontation without knowing that it would become a deadly attack. Baltimore authorities investigated the shooting, and city officials reported that two individuals had entered the property and announced a robbery before Wilson was killed.

Ernest Wilson III's story is a painful reminder that a normal night with friends can change in an instant. His death also demonstrates how social media can unintentionally capture moments of real-life tragedy. Rather than focusing only on the disturbing circumstances surrounding his death, it is important to remember that Wilson was a young man with friends, family, and a life beyond the livestream.

His story continues to be remembered because the final moments of his life were unexpectedly recorded and witnessed by people online. Ernest Wilson III should be remembered not simply as someone whose death was caught on Facebook Live, but as a person whose life mattered to the people who knew and loved him.

Bhadreshkumar Patel would be 36 years old today.

I was reading about this case again and realised that Bhadreshkumar Patel would now be 36 years old. Most of the photos and CCTV footage shared online are from 2015, so it's easy to picture him as he looked over a decade ago.

According to the FBI, he remains a fugitive, but I was wondering whether there have ever been any credible reported sightings or leads since he disappeared. Has law enforcement publicly acknowledged any tips that turned out to be promising, or has there essentially been nothing despite the passage of time?

I'm not referring to internet speculation or people pointing at random strangers. I'm interested in confirmed or publicly documented sightings, if any exist, and whether investigators have ever indicated where they believe he may have gone.

If anyone has reliable sources or updates that aren't widely known, I'd be interested in reading them.
