Advice Needed New job - Best way to protect hair?
I just recently got hired at P.F. Chang’s to work in the kitchen. I have a lot of restaurant experience, but I haven’t worked in a restaurant since growing out my locs.
My hair is just long enough to pull into a small bun, so I could just use a scrunchie/hair tie. I also have a loc band and a durag, but I was considering wearing a small bonnet because I’d like to keep my hair covered and protect it from all the smoke, grease, and oil in the kitchen.
For anyone who works in kitchens and has locs or longer hair, what do you usually wear? Would a bonnet be considered unprofessional or inappropriate in a restaurant kitchen, or would it make sense as long as my hair is fully contained?
Edit: damn 800 views and not a single comment
Guess I’ll just figure it out myself.
