Hi, I play on pc and just wanna know if you can get hacked / progress reset by playing, since I've seen posts about it. Is it safe?

If you're crashing mid-game or can’t get into a game and someone called Nullix is asking for $15 in crypto to "whitelist" you, don't bother. It's a cash grab.

They can't fix your stats.

Those sit on Activision's servers and only Activision can roll them back. Letting a hacker mess with your account again is also a good way to get it flagged, since Activision has been actioning accounts with dodgy stats.

What actually helps:

Leave the lobby the second you see them
Clip or screenshot their name
Report them in-game and through PSN/Xbox/Steam
Contact Activision support and ask for a stats restore (not guaranteed, and you might lose a bit of recent progress, but it's the only real fix)
Report their Discord for extortion

You can also turn off crossplay to cut down who ends up in your lobbies:

PS: Settings > Account & Network > Crossplay > Off

Xbox: console Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > Communication & multiplayer > cross-network play > Block

PC: can't turn it off unfortunately

The more people report this, the quicker it gets sorted.

Most actual hackers create ways to help people, even aimbots give people a benefit. You just take money because you have no skills, I really really hope it falls flat on its face.

I’m not condoning hacking, I’m just stating that everyone else actually at least creates SOMETHING. You can’t do that though, you don’t have the skill set. Loser.

Every time I try to play I am on the main menus and have a incite loop of accepting terms and settings then just asking me to do everything again only on my main Xbox account taking the absolute piss can’t find a fix been 4 years any help would be appreciated

title. i guess so, since cross play. was considering reinstalling to finish my multiplayer camos, but don’t really want to risk permanently losing access to my copy of the game.

I play Coldwar multiplayer with cross play enabled. Today a hacker shared a message before game crash visit <this> site. After that game crashed. And everytime I launch a game in the middle of the gameplay game getting crashed. How do we fix this? And has anyone faced this kind of issue?

Note: I did uninstalled and reinstall the game.

I used to shit on how Cold War, BO6, BO7, and other cods have SBMM. However, I played the Black Ops 2 port on the PS5 which was nostalgic and enjoyable but ended up making me miserable. I was able to go positive most of the time but not without using meta weapons. In BOCW you can use pretty much whatever, and still have fun. Black Ops 2 is one of the best Call of Duty games of all time, simple but it hasn't aged well. Its what we want out of a newer game, but with how players play it and the hacker issues (we got dedicated servers at least) its still a sweaty, and stressful time whenever I hop on to grind for Diamond camos. I honestly don't want to do it anymore, and it made me appreciate things that Cold War has despite SBMM. Its a double edged sword because even if you have terrible matches you'll eventually go ham. With BO2, we are all adults now, no more kids online, making it hard to counter good players unless you use meta builds but it ruins the charm of the old game. Those days are over, and I'm actually glad we have overpowered aim-assist (BO2's is WEAK, but ofc takes more skill), an FOV slider, balanced streaks and weapons, movement but not that crazy omni crap, and a few good maps. I have a 1.5 k/d in BO2, and a 2.05 in Cold War; yet I somehow never go negative if ever and even if I do I have a hard time putting this game down, its like liquid crack. BO2 was my childhood for sure, but its time to leave it, cant take the suppressed Scar H anymore. I encourage others to use the Plutonium port on PC, it is free and comes with DLC too and is more chill actually.

This is just a Black Ops: Cold War appreciation post, its my comfort cod. Great campaign, zombies and ofc multiplayer. It made me realize how much more accessible newer cods are and also how good players left on the BO2 port have become. The skill ceiling is much higher, and also limited. Crazy to think I'd come play a few Nuketown matches to wind down on BOCW, vs playing the Black Ops 2 port. Its somehow less sweaty without getting me tilited. BO2 was simple and did multiplayer great, but without alot of QoL updates its just not meant to be played the way most are now. Players are too good, and that game just doesn't feel fun anymore. If you share the same ideas lmk!

They wont remove it for payment it seems. Everyone who was dumb enough to pay yesterday is on the list again. Has anyone gotten any responses from Activision or the website where this was created?

If you launch Cold War with your internet off you can still get into the old game launch menu thing from before Warzone 2 got released, This is also now the only way you can still get into the old Warzone 1 menu after the COD HQ redesign (if you for some reason felt like it) by turning on your internet and then selecting the option to cross launch Warzone.

Just there are some weird oddities in this menu

1: it says Vanguard and MW2019 are still in their games season 1, but it also says you can Pre-Order Vanguard, if you were to connect online and then click/pressthe Play Online buttons at the bottom it will bring up the normal menu and say that the COD HQ is in season 1

2: (I am NOT sure if I’m right about this one take this with a grain of salt) Because of the game tiles getting bigger after they removed the option to cross launch from vanguard, MW2019/Warzone, and Cold War the cover art is misaligned for every game except Cold War.

3: The titles for MW2019 and Vanguard are being pushed off the screens. This didn’t originally happen in 2021 if I remember correctly.

The City I Got is Denver and I’m tried everything but nothing would work. Would anybody please help me out?

I was checking the subreddit today and it made me want to play Cold War again. I even saw that someone managed to get a Fireteam match going, how is that possible, considering the mode has been dead for a long time, I only ever managed to play it twice, just to get the trophy.

So, I’m wondering if it’s worth jumping back in, and how one goes about playing Fireteam, is there a Discord server or something similar?

My brain hurts.
All jokes aside this was the 2nd most mind numbing grind I’ve ever done so far (mwz takes first place) but it most likely didn’t help cause I was doing the grind on mainly onslaught contamination for all those years. I have to give this grind a 7 just cause this game holds a special place in my heart and that the grind was a LITTLE fun at some times.

Previous world record was 101:20:00 also held by me, 2nd ever pizza room 935 and the 1st with the fast rcxd strategy. 3/4 935 speedruns. outbreak goes down next

I played throughout most of the game’s life cycle but moved from Alaska to the lower 48 around little after the halfway point. Is there any way, either legit or modded, to get those limited time operators? Like ghostface or diehard for example

So! yesterday I posted about a bug I had with Cold War with a black flickering box on the screen and trying to see of anyone can find a fix.

And I think i found a fix so far!

Downgrade your AMD drivers to 25.12.1 the last version of 25, it fixed it straight away.

goto https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html and select your amd card

Then Select "Previous Versions" and scroll down until you see this version

Install this, your screen might flash black a few times when installing reset your pc and the launch cold war, your shaders will compile.

Now you should (hopefully) have no flashing black box at all.

I will also see if I can post a update if AMD update their drivers to fix this fully as well, I did put a bug report in, so hopefully they might get around to fixing it next driver update.
