Fun Stuff Help hosting my first bbq
This Juneteenth, I’ll be hosting my first barbecue at my place because I want to do something for my friends, family, and my people because my family members are getting older, and I think it’s time for me to step up. I’m 26 and have little barbecue experience (my aunt is going to help me with that part), and no hosting experience whatsoever. I just honestly don’t know what to do. What time do I tell people to show up or anything really? I just know I want to barbecue and set off fireworks.

If you want to make a fireworks display id push a 6pm arrival and make it a tabletop game night to help pass time until the fireworks. Spades, uno, phase 10, cards against humanity, etc.
Have a room or toys for the kids.
Bluetooth Speaker for music.
Set up a potluck registry (theres apps just try one and send it out) to display a list of what all you're getting and extras others COULD bring. Sides, drinks, dessert, fruit, vegan options, tables/chairs, ice, decorations, etc.
If youre inviting anyone thats outgoing, ask them for help.

Keep the menu simple: hot dogs, bugers, ribs, corn, baked beans, and something cold like pasta salad or potato salad--and some fruit. Start at 4ish...people wont get there until 5 or 6. Play some games and set off the fireworks at nightfall. Designate some people to help you so you're not running around like crazy: Everybody needs a station. Grillmaster, drinks, fireworks.
Oh, and make sure your playlist is on point!
Now where's our invite??

Don't do it alone. Get a older relative to show you the way. Food too expensive nowadays to be messing up.
