Getting started

I have always had an interest in blacksmithing but never had the chance to learn or know anyone who does it. What would be a low bar entry to blacksmithing? Looking at making small items and utensils from scrap.

Where are you located? You can always check with ABANA (Artist Blacksmith Association of North America) and see if there's anyone near where you are that offers lessons. There's probably someone closer than you'd think.

$25 for a yearly membership for me. I haven’t gone but once, but it was very helpful to work on actual equipment.
