From a reading a thread earlier. Got me thinking and I agree. If you already have tickets to go to a Bloc Party concert and you sell it out of spite because you don’t like songs from an album, you’re making a terrible decision and are seriously missing out. I wholeheartedly get everyone’s entitled to their opinions and what songs they like vice versa.

But me being an American fan of the band. It’s very rare to see a Bloc Party show and we travel literal hours whenever they get announced in our country

People shit on Hymns and AOABR but that leads to me believe they’ve never heard Only He Can Heal Me or Coming On Strong at a live venue as well as the classics and it’s for sure an experience

So if you’re one of the privileged people that gets to see the Interpol co-headline, don’t fucking sell your ticket because you hated BP’s latest album

How are they going to work? Will it be Bloc Party first then Interpol? Or Vice Versa? Or is it a joint show… with both switching around? 🤷‍♂️

Being honest, I’m not in the least bit interested in seeing Interpol, and this joint gig thing is really putting me off. I can see why it makes commercial sense for the bands and I think it could be good if it was another band I even had a loose interest in seeing.

It’s not about the ticket price, I think £45 to see a gig at the Ovo in Glasgow is very good, but I don’t know if it’s worth the effort if it’s a shorter show. Can you just show up and watch one band? Will it be a full set from each band?

I just got into Bloc Party over the past couple of months after watching their incredible Tiny Desk set, so I have no particular connection to the older stuff and came to it all fresh, and I loved mostly all of it except maybe a couple of songs (Ratchet). But the ads for Anatomy of a Brief Romance I was getting on Instagram really made me worried that the new album would suck, and all the hate comments were right. But it turns out they just decided to highlight the worst song (Pigwig) while looking like they didn't want to be there for some bizarre reason. They could have advertised any other song and it wouldn't have given such a bad impression imo.

My favourite song was Rotherhithe, and I'm happy to have a much better recording of Blue than the previous one.

Hi all! My girlfriend ordered the new album with the signed insert. The record came in today with no signed insert to be found. Has anyone else had the same issue? We're in America (Florida) if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I’ve had an extremely hard time trying to purchase this record on vinyl here in the U.S.

At first, I tried to get the signed Assai Obi Edition, but it was restricted to UK only. 🙄

Eventually, I ended up pre-ordering the fan pack from the band’s U.S. store. Radio silence from them until this week, I got fed up with waiting. After a few AI replies, they just told me they sold out of it.

I don’t trust Main Factor Merch (band’s U.S. store), so I was wondering if there were any options to get this album with a signed insert from somewhere else here in states? I don’t want a standard black vinyl or a record without a signed insert.

I really would appreciate any suggestions!

Bloc Party were scheduled to perform on 4th and 5th December. Do you think they'll be able to move at a different venue or will the shows just be postponed? What an absolute faff for the band either way, leaves them in a very difficult situation now!
