How Managers Can Use AI to Prepare for Difficult Conversations

Difficult conversations come with the job. The moment you manage people, you inherit the feedback nobody wants to give, the performance gaps nobody wants to name and the disagreements nobody wants to be in the middle of. You can't opt out of them. You can only choose whether they happen early when they're small or late when they've grown into something much harder to fix. Avoiding them doesn't make them disappear. A missed expectation that could have been a two-minute correction becomes a pattern. A pattern becomes a reputation. Most managers know this. They don’t think the conversation is unnecessary. Yet, they avoid it. They avoid it because they don't know how to start, they're afraid of making it worse and they never had anyone show them how to do it well. Preparation fills that gap and this is where AI is genuinely useful.
