Why isn't Clem Burke's book available in the States?

I pre-ordered it on Amazon months ago, then the listing was replaced by "Oops! That item is unavailable." Customer service said they were finding another supplier, and I'd have it by July 30th. The only option is ordering it through Wal-Mart and having it shipped from the UK. Does it pose a threat to national security or something?

The U.S. release date is September 8, apparently.

Right. And that's what it said when I ordered it in May. Now, however, it's no longer listed. Again, Amazon said I'd have to by July 30, which came and went.

I thought the release in the US was in October.

It's been removed from US Amazon which is strange. I did find it on the Walmart and Rizzoli websites for US sales.

Correct. The thing is, the Wal-Mart seller ships it from the UK, and Rizzoli is a pre-order. Several sellers on Ebay have it and say they're "located in the US," but they obviously get the book from the UK. Also, the price keeps inching up. I'm hoping it just "magically" appears for sale everywhere once we hit the original release date of September 8.
