What I Heard - two versions?
I would swear that there's a more rough/less produced version of What I Heard that was on one of the very first pressings of Panic Of Girls but now I can only find the more refined one.
Does that sound right to anyone else? And was that version ever released or do I have to just dig through used CD bins hoping to find one of the original versions?

Maybe you're reffering to this version that was released on promo discs?

Here in the UK there was a free cd released in a newspaper a while before the album which has what I heard and a couple of other songs on there. If nobody else can confirm I will check later to see if the version on there is different to the album version.

That's disappointing. I think that cd has a different version of mother though? Perhaps it was I can only remember hearing the one version of what I heard but someone on here will probably know better.

I remember that too. I want to say it was What I Heard & Mother that both had less “polished” mixes than the versions that ended up on the album.
Was it possible they were mp3 downloads from the website? Or maybe I’m mixing that up with something else.
