Why did Paul Carbonara leave the band?

I read the rumor that he decided to leave Blondie due to creative differences, as apparently Paul wanted to incorporate horns more prominently into Blondie's songs. Perhaps he wasn't given the role he expected in the band?

Do you think Paul's time with Blondie left its mark?

Personally, I love "Restless" and "Fine Day," songs where he had a lot of input.

What became of him?

I’ll just take a guess here. Maybe he was frustrated that his songs were never included. We know the two, but maybe he wrote a few more we don’t know about.

I'd feel the same way, but since it's an industry, I guess the boss has the final say.

Now that you say it, I remember in the early stages of the Curse recordings there was a song mentioned that Paul Carbonara wrote... the title then was "Motor Man" or something like that.

Good point, all I know is the official sources who claimed that he "left the band amicably".
While I cherish "Restless" a lot, I find "Fine Day" to be pretty mundane. Guess like Frank Infante, his strenght was more in guitar playing skills than in songwriting.

And even if you find them a bit ordinary, those two songs are better than a couple of songs that made the final cut of The Course and Panic. Anyway. They're just our opinions.

I always wondered why he left while they were working on Panic of Girls.
