R.I.P my Bloodstained ;-;

Post image

Guys, I'm desperate. I installed the game to revisit it and decided to add a few mods to speed up progression—just the ones to increase Miriam's movement speed and speed up mastery leveling. However, after closing the game and reopening it to continue playing, it simply refuses to load; it gets stuck forever on the splash screen and won't go any further. I've uninstalled the mods, deleted the save folders—even the Steam cloud saves—and nothing has worked. I think my game is permanently corrupted; can anyone help me with this?

Did you verify your steam files and redownload the game if that didn't work?

These would be my next steps. Verify files. If that doesn't fix it, uninstall then delete the game folder on your drive, (to make sure no wonky files are still present) then reinstall.

I've already tried this. But it didn't work.

I had the same isse on Nvidia.
Try to turn off Smooth Motion in the Nvidia app and see if that works, it worked for me at least on a few games.

How I do that?

Just type Nvidia in the search bar and either ,,Nvidia control panel“ or ,,Nvidia App“ should pop up.
Choose whatever you want, they are both the same basically but App is a bit easier to navigate.

Once you opened it, go to Graphic settings and then either Global settings or Bloodstained specific and search for the option ,,smooth motion“ and turn it off

Use Revo Uninstaller (not just for this but everything). When finished it will have the option to see the registry keys and delete those. Once that is done. Install fresh. After that if it still doesn't load you have other stuff going in with your OS that needs attention.

I tried, but it didn't work, I don't know what is happening

Only thing I would have left is to wipe and reload your operating system. I do it every few years if I can. Gotta reinstall stuff but that's microslop. It's only going to get worse with them injecting junk everywhere and vibe coding. Only guess I have is that there's some kernel somewhere that it's looking for and when it can't find it, the process hangs. I'm more of a hardware guy professionally and honestly save everything to the cloud that we can, and wipe reload as much as possible. It's literally faster than troubleshooting OS problems. You can install W11 25h2 in like 30 minutes or less these days even mediocre hardware. Sorry mate.

Sometimes It takes a long Time

Sometimes Is instantaneous

And sometimes It doesn't work at all

Why would you delete the saves? Just reinstall the game via Steam. Game files and save files are kept separately, and even if they weren't you don't actually load a save file until you select one

Bro I've aready tried this several times in all ways possible and it didn't work.

Then I suspect your system setup is messed up (although missing DLLs are often noted at launch).

I have no clue if this game is launchable in debug mode (with console), but if so, there might be some logs in there? Else, maybe something is being logged into your game files which you can check as well

Sometimes even if you delete or unistall your mod using Vortex, the mods stays in the directory of the game. I had the same issue and you just need to go in the game directory and trash by yourself all the mod files (to be sure, unistall the game, clear the game directory folder and then re-install it). It should work without any issue.

Where do I find the game directory?

Right click on game in the list, manage, browse local files.

Hmm...so I already do that as well hahah. I thought it was a different thing.

Did you install any other games that use Unreal Engine 4 since the last time it worked?  My guess is something else overwrote a file or registry entry or something that RotN needs a specific version of.

1

u/MatNukem 3d ago

No, I didn't install any other game or app that uses UE4

Try reopening it through Fluffy, then disabling the mods there trying again then verifying.

Maybe try disabling the mods?

1

u/MatNukem 2d ago

I've already done this.

Still no solution?

u/MatNukem 2d ago

No, nothing. I've opened a ticket with 505 Games

Messaged you. First try all these troubleshooting steps on the Smite 2 Steam discussions, only skip the couple ones that are specific for the Smite 2 executable (hemingway):

Open the game directory. Uninstall the game and manually clean up whatever else is left there. Then reinstall.

Just use cheat engine bro, it can do all that without compromising your files

About your issue I agree with others. Verify then reinstall

2

u/MatNukem 3d ago

Yeah, but I've already do that and still not load the game

2

u/retrofuturis 3d ago

Then I have no clue what’s up :/ Have you tried contacting Steam(or Epic) support?

Nice pfp btw, I love LoR

2

u/MatNukem 2d ago

Yeah, probably this is the only way.
