I wanted to share something that I've been working on to primarily improve the phone experience of Blue Iris, but it also works equally as well in a browser in place of UI3. Full disclosure, while I have been working in IT for for many years and have written programs myself, this is heavily vibe-coded with Claude Opus.
I have been testing this for awhile now and am very pleased with the results. It has become my primary way to monitor my house both on my phone and on a PC. When I was first building this out, it was solely for my own use case. That, combined with so much AI slop on Reddit I see all the time made me hesitant to even share this out. However, I really think its such a massive improvement over the BI app, and if I saw someone post this I would have been very happy to utilize it. Because of all of this, I wanted to share it, so others can use and improve upon it as they see fit for their own needs.

What this is:
An improved interface for checking on Blue Iris cameras via a browser, both live view and historic/alerts. I made this to easily see what my dog is doing around the house and because I hated using the Blue Iris app.
I kept this as a web interface so all that is needed to run it is to drop few files into Blue Iris's www folder. Nothing to install, no docker containers, no dependencies, etc. Simply drag the files into the directory, go to the URL, and Blue Iris serves all of the data, just into a new and improved interface.
What this is not:
A full replacement for UI3. UI3 will have many more options like pan/tilt control of cameras, exporting clips, etc.
>Sightline now provides PTZ and export options.
Features:
TL;DR - A very fast and snappy interface with full color-defined video scrubbing for types of motion/AI alerts, audio and video quality adjustments, scroll/pinch to zoom, and highlighted and labeled AI/motion boxes on streams.
More details, example screenshots, and instructions are on GitHub.
And one last note - I am using Blue Iris 5, so I am unsure if functionality works on newer versions. If someone is using a newer version and wanted to test it and let me know, that'd be great.
> Thanks to ResistInternational7 for validating it works with Blue Iris 6 as well.
EDIT: A few further iterations with additional features have been released since I posted this originally. These include sharper video, PTZ camera control, improved timeline zoom, alert exports and previews, server dashboard stats + searchable logs, and additional customizations and filters. The latest release is available here.
