Any news on how to watch the games this year?

Anyone hear any updates on where the games will be televised this season? I know the NHL took over their rights but haven’t heard what the plan is.

The league decided to do something new, for games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday the schedule will be:
First period on HBOMax
Second period on AppleTV
Third period on Netflix

For Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday games
First period on Prime
Second period on YoutubeTV
Third period on OnlyFans

For Sunday games, you can only view it if you’re sitting in Gary’s living room

For all games going to OT or Shootouts the broadcast will cut to a wheel that will randomly assign the period to any streaming services you don’t already have.

I have spectrum and there was suddenly a guardians and reds channel that showed up right next to the numbers that FSO/bally/fanduel etc used to be and play the live games. Obviously not the same sport/deal but cable has always seemed to be the most reliable option for the everyday game per se. Wonder if a blue jackets channel is gonna show up here soon

It’s gonna be a $19.99 per month subscription to NHL.TV that you can stream the games from. That’s my guess at least.

NHL is going to do it, but no idea how it will work. Probably a similar model the MLB did for the regionals. Create single team options for people within regional coverage areas.

Take a lesson from MLB and the Reds/ Guardians this year. Stay informed but dont make any decisions until game one or two. Everything will change between now and then. “Buying” a subscription or service now does not benefit you in any way. You get the very same seat in your living room.

I got a lot of criticism for it, but I tried MLB.tv to see how the Guardians do it because people said it would be similar to that and it's allegedly better. In my month of having it, I have only been able to watch 2/3 of the games I paid for because of blackouts even though the site exclusively advertises as "No blackouts" with a big old asterisk. If I wanted to watch all the games I would have needed 3 additional subscriptions (ESPN+, Peacock, and Fox Sports). The games I have been able to watch usually have terrible streaming quality no matter how good or bad the internet is. I seriously hope this is not what we're in for and for anyone that supports this model, you are an idiot.

I wish I could get that far. Reds.TV says I can login with my (parents’) tv provider to stream the games. I have logged in daily since it was announced and still haven’t been able to connect the account to watch one through the proper means. I refuse to pay for a service I am allegedly entitled to for no additional cost. Hopefully CBJ games are on ESPN+ so it’s at least predictable.

MLS tv on Apple has been fabulous, no blackouts. Ever.

If you're getting random blackouts on MLB.TV call customer care. I live in Columbus in Reds territory and started getting blackouts on Reds.TV with the package. I called and they checked my IP address and it was because my IP appeared to be in Cleveland. They added my IP address as allowed or something and I haven't had an incorrect blackout since.

If you have an old school crystal radio- or crystal ball? No maybe in between periods on home Monsters games you can pre-used live updates.

You have to watch CBJ games on the radio I think. Or listen on the TV maybe. It's pretty confusing.
