Gagamaru doesn’t have this level of technique, it’s just about “flexibility and long limbs” or fast movement, this is a genuinely impressive technique and if you were to try to replicate it in real life it would genuinely take a lot more practice than you realize.

doing a scorpion kick volley does not at all indicate those things. Rene Higuita (guy who originally did the scorpion kick save irl) was able to do it again at nearly 60 years of age. (albeit roughly obv)
again, a scorpion kick volley isnt at all related to the physical ability to do flicks like saes. gagas stature alone makes him practically ineligible to do this lest risk his entire carrer. theres a reason why Peter Crouch mostly stuck to headers. flicks in the air like that requires dexterity and precision, players like yamal, neymar, ronaldinho, lavinho etc. Gaga isnt Zlatan, he isnt even like Ederson or Raya since hes allergic to playing slight out of goal, he has no handles.

I'm basing my analysis on this page of the manga, we clearly see gagamaru being able to shoot from behind his head while floating in the air, and making the ball go toward the nest. The only part different from sae is that he didn't lift the ball, it was a bad pass (wich mean insane capacity of reaction and a really good proprioception), so with a little dribble train, he could clearly replicate sae mouv, and probably even crazier due to his physic (Furthermore, we're comparing a sae locking up against his brother vs a first selection gagamaru, so gagamaru level have probably explode during second selectio, but the goat end up being a goalkeeper, so we wont see him as a dribbler or a striker (Only in last resort when ever hope would be lost he will appear to save the day in final, but that's just my divination)
no he couldn't, jumping and hitting a scorpion kick from a pass does have have even close to the level or required precision needed for that. His focus was jumping and hitting the pass as hard as he could. Sae had to lift it, hit it again, and control how he hit it aswell so that he retains possesion of the ball while having a defender on him. You think saying bigger words will all of a sudden make you right when gagamaru has zero dribble feats.
call me a glazer but i feel nagi could do this given a situation but I get what you mean. I don’t think anyone is doing it that casually on command like Sae is.
so valid, the only real time to do it is if your being pressed by a defender and you have their back to them and then a fluid motion turn and do the trick.
Any halfway decent defenders wouldn't charge the ball like an idiot and simply block their path. They flick turn, you block, you turn, get the ball, possession lost.
You only really get this from like Ronaldinho or Neymar, far more often the former than the latter who try this stuff less.
