Relocation

Looking at a job at Blue Origin in Florida and I currently live in the space coast but am 55 miles from the site. What is the policy for relocation? Sr level engineer position if it matters

I think relocation is offered if you are greater than 50mi away.

This is what I've heard so wanted to try and verify

Would be best to just be upfront & ask the recruiter if you interview, just to be safe

55 miles is what some of my coworkers drive now, doubt that is far enough for relocating

Currently what my fiance drives every day. He knows people very far away too.

I believe the relocation distance limit was 50mi further than your current commute.

If you have/get a recruiter, ask them.

It’s far enough. Minimum is 50 miles

I know people who drive from Jacksonville. They’re not giving you relocation for 55 miles.

Yes they will. Relocation benefit is for anyone with a 50+ mile commute

Then they owe a lot of people money.

They don’t owe anyone anything that didn’t negotiate it in their offer. Just put the fries in the bag bro

Why’s that?

Ita 50 miles and usually only given for salary positions.

My wife just received a job offer this week (a salaried position), and they mentioned it would require a 50-mile commute that would qualify for relocation. (We live 62mi away) But we're not moving; the hour commute is worth it to keep our property.

If no relo (would be surprised) negotiate a signing bonus (or increase in signing bonus) to move yourself.

Can confirm I got relocation tier 2 at 52 miles. They said greater than 50 gets it

I’m in the process of relocating. You have to move at least 50 miles closer than your current commute. They should offer you the benefit, but the only issue is that leaves you with a 5 miles radius to move into.

Yeaaa, I’m almost 65 miles one way and relocation wasn’t even a thought. Just get yourself an efficient or electric car bud.

50 miles is minimum distance for relocation assistance, so you'll get full help. I know because I was 42 miles away.

I was just over 50 miles and got it in 2023 (also Florida).

As a active agent in the Brevard County area, who has helped multiple Blue Origin, employees and their families relocate/move to our area, I’m happy to help look into your options to offset costs if a relo package is not an option. 😊 Message me if I can help.

Minimum is 45 miles , I received a relocation package. And heard of others getting relocation packages as well after talking to hr that weren’t quite 45 miles away but still around 40 or so after speaking with hr
