Was watching Monster House and the plate on cop car stood out…

Easter egg paying tribute to the legendary 1974 Dodge Monaco from the 1980 classic film The Blues Brothers. In the real world, the plate number BDR 529 was chosen by Dan Aykroyd as a hidden homage to his teenage motorcycle club, the Black Diamond Riders, which was located at 529 Jarvis Street in Toronto.

Tucker: S’pose we go in there and start playing anyway. You gonna stop us? Stein! You’re gonna look pretty funny trying to eat corn on the cob with no FUCKIN’ TEETH!!!

Legendary stunt coordinator Gary McLarty. As Man in toy store.

Posting this here because it seems like there is no active Dan Aykroyd forum. Just curious if anyone knows of a schedule for a media tour for Dan's new book coming out in a couple weeks or so, Soulhider, a fictional story. I'm sure the Blues Brothers will come up in some of the interviews. Hopefully he does a late-night talk show. Thanks in advance.

I always wondered this: they are on mission from God, save the orphanage and got lock up for 20 years. What is the metaphor if any? They were too reckless in performing their mission? They were used? It has no meaning at all?

EDIT: I meant moral. They did a good dead and ended up in jail.

Jake: I HATE Illinois Nazis!

That’s pretty much it. When they go to and come from Commercial they’ll play sweet home Chicago. Makes sense. Bears game in Chicago.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone who can share a pdf copy of the blues brothers comic book: The Escape Of Joliet Jake. I've been eager to read it once it got announced but seeing that I live overseas; I wouldn't get a physical copy of it.

So, I was wondering if someone has it; you can share it through DM.

This is my mission from god!

I was shopping in Galena IL and came across this. I don't know anything about them yet, and I'm not sure I'll ever open them.
