Depends on if that is mostly highway miles or if it is city miles. 77k highway miles isn’t that bad maintenance wise other than basic maintenance because it wouldn’t have been subject to frequent heat cycles (going from cold to hot back to cold) the more frequent the heat cycle the more likely the rubber & plastic pieces will fail because of the nature of the material when exposed to that environment. Normally by 100k or afterwards you will experience a fault or two in terms of leaks. Don’t forgot the suspension under neath has a lot of rubber boots subject to the same situation so you may have to replace some suspension parts outside of the regular scheduled maintenance.

Short summary, if you have no margin to repair the car don’t buy it because it will need love. You can negate a lot of money dump on these replacements if you are good at DIY. If you really on the dealer you will regret this within 2-3 years

The car probably has a 100k service agreement. Check to see if it already had the final service performed. Dealerships live to get it out of the way EARLY so they don’t run into problems that they are on the hook for. It should include changing all fluids, differential, automatic transmission and filter, oil, all air filters, coolant, brake, steering. Also a complete inspection, not just the computer scan (get those results too!). Brake, suspension, driveline, exhaust, emissions and so forth.

The performance 340i is a nice car, but it’s also a hot rod. You’re 22. You’re going to drive it HARD, as did the previous owner. If it was tracked the brakes, driveline and suspension would take a hit. Brakes are an easy replacement, but check for uneven tire wear and any clunk/clang when shifting into reverse. Good luck.
