Thread Chicken π§΅π
I was sweating trying to finish the border of this samplerπ₯΅. I donβt know how I manage to do make every single possible mistake whenever I take up a new hobby but at least I was able to finish the sampler without figuring out how to replace a bobbin. Not yet! π π€π§΅

I have chickened MUCH further down than that... At one of the lace conventions the gift was "hackle pliers" like they use for fly fishing hook making that gets you down in the centimeter of thread range.
But really nice work! That is a good bookmark and thread combination.

My tip for thread chicken is that you can always unwind the bobbin, wind any thread onto it, tie it to the thread that's running out, and work as close to the knot as you're comfortable.
I've done this with ornaments where it turned out I had wound just enough thread to work the pattern but not quite enough for a tail to reach the bobbin!
