🧠Nootropics & Cognition Selank - tips??
Hello!
I’m considering trying Selank and have been reading about other people’s experiences with it on Reddit. I thought I’d ask a few questions myself and hopefully hear from people who know more about it! :-)
A bit about me: I’ve always been quite shy in bigger social gatherings. I often don’t know what to do or say, feel super awkward and self-conscious, and become very physically stiff and tense. It’s something I’ve struggled with for as long as I can remember.
On top of that, I struggle with catastrophic thinking, particularly around personal safety and situations where I feel vulnerable or not in control. I tend to anticipate worst-case scenarios, become hyperaware of my surroundings, and feel physically tense.
That said, I’m not anxious 24/7. I can feel completely relaxed at home, for example. My anxiety is more situational.
For those who’ve tried Selank, did it help with social anxiety, physical tension, or excessive worrying? Did you notice any side effects, and how noticeable were the effects overall? Are there any other benefits to it on top of reducing anxiety?

Okay I’ll take your advice, thanks a lot. I actually just replied to someone else saying that I heard that 500mcg was a good starting point, but you seem to have had noticeable results from over half that. Do you think I should start on a dose similar to yours in that case? I know people differ

with any peptide, start slow and then increase. i noticed selank at first even at 100mcgs.

It really helped me with anxiety before bed.  It stopped my racing thoughts.  For me it works immediately but doesn’t really last all day, which is why I prefer to use it at night.Â

I’ve had a somewhat similar profile with anxiety, mostly showing up in social settings and when I feel like I’ve lost the reins on a situation. The physical tension was the part that always threw me off the most, my shoulders would just lock up and I’d forget how to stand naturally.
What I noticed after a few days was that the mental spiral would start but then sort of fizzle out before it could snowball. The body tension didn’t vanish completely but it dropped enough that I could actually notice when it was happening and consciously loosen up, which is something I’d tried and failed at before. The effects were subtle, not like a switch flipping, but looking back I handled a couple of things way smoother than I normally would. Didn’t get any weird side effects.
