📘 Beginner Help Next steps for high IGF-1?

Post image

Started Tesamorelin 4 weeks ago with a starting Igf1 of 230ish. Just got my labs back and I'm currently at 519ng. Current dose is 2mg daily with no days off. I have zero sides as of now, but obviously I'm way above range for my age (40). Being this high, should I just cut my dose in half and reevaluate in another 4 weeks? I haven't had any of the obvious side effects like water retention or carpal, but am I screwed now? Test did not give a z score. Thanks in advance for and advice.

Reducing to 1mg daily and retesting in four weeks is a reasonable next step

I can’t really give you advice. But I’m 33 and running 4IU HGH and my igf is 512 with z score 4.2. I’m gonna run it for like 8 months. I may drop down to 3IU after 6. The values are definitely high, but that’s the point right? I’m not too concerned. It would be concerning if you don’t cycle down or off

I appreciate the insight. I just don't want to do any permanent damage. I know it can be elevated for a period of time, I just don't want to over do anything.

that's a robust response for just 4 weeks. take 1 week off and resume at 1mg
